Disaster Averted!!!
I bought this as a gift for my son's birthday and was very relieved that it arrived 3 days before "the day" only to be horrified upon opening it to find Fed-Ex had DESTROYED it! It was smashed in four separate places on the screen and the frame was bent also. Walmart however were incredible in their response and shipped a replacement overnight to make sure I had it in time! The TV itself has a wonderful picture (better than my LG which cost significantly more) and the sound is very clear. My son is enjoying it very much and telling all his friends how awesome it is for playing his X Box 1 on as the refresh rate keeps up with all his games, first person shooters & driving games primarily. It's a great TV at any price and an absolute steal for the price I paid ($329.00). I don't usually post reviews but both the product and Walmart's customer service were so impressive that I had to in this instance.

Software Fault
Nice TV, beautiful picture, sound was pretty good too! Got it for a great price and even the 4 year warranty was a fantastic buy. Unfortunately the TV turns on by itself. Just finished packing it up and am on my way to the store to return it. Seems there is a fault with the awake timer that turns the TV on and there appears to be no fix. Called the RCA help center 5 times, everyone was helpful but could not come up with a fix, this included downloading new software into the TV. I'm surprised this problem is still occurring- earlier reviews from a year or so ago mentioned this problem. My TV was stamped as being manufactured in August 2015- I'm shocked this is still an issue, and that a serious product fault has not been corrected yet. I would buy another one of these if I knew the problem was corrected. Not comfortable with this coming on by itself if everyone is out of the house all day. I'm not about to unplug the TV like we used to have to do with the instant on TVs in the 1960's.

    Awesome TV exceeds expectations
    I was a little apprehensive about buying this TV after I read some of the reviews but took a chance anyhow as it was on sale for a great price. I am truly amazed at the picture and sound quality of this TV. I have a basic installation as my DVR is not equipped for HDMI and I have limited HDTV channels but the clarity of the picture is incredible I can't imagine it being any clearer. This TV is in a small room so I had anticipated the picture quality would be somewhat grainy due to close viewing ut that is not the case at all. The sound quality is also really good and I have no complaints whatsoever. I read reviews about the TV turning itself on so I followed the recommendation of the review that stated setting the time correctly and the wake up time for 12 AM 1/1/2050 would eliminate the chance of this happening and lo and behold...no problems. I would definitely recommend this TV...I received the TV shipped to my home from Walmart.com 4 days after I placed my order and after I received it set up time was way under half an hour and I couldn't be more pleased with this purchase.

    Low Quality
    Purchased on sale for $300. The 48 inch screen is nice and big and the price sounds ideal, however based on the points below, I returned it and purchased an Insignia brand 48 inch (also on sale) for almost the same price. The Insignia is excellent and does not have any of the issues I mention below. 1. The picture quality is slightly below standard. Animated shows look relatively clear, however live action scenes often appear noticeably fuzzy. Any scene with low-light is hard to see. If you sit far enough from the TV (this is a big screen after all) you might find it somewhat acceptable. 2. The sound quality is far below standard. Other reviews mentioned it has a "tinny" sound and this is because the speakers are far too small for any modern TV manufactured after 1970. In other words, the sound is all treble and no bass. 3. The infrared sensor is not very sensitive, so you need to pretty much be sitting directly in front of the TV for the remote to operate 100% of the time.

    LOVE the TV, and Walmart is just A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!
    I don't know what other people are talking about with the sound, but I can get a really nice sound quality anywhere I want. The picture is amazing... oh, and the last negative parts of reviews that I saw with it turning on in the middle of the night - set your date on the tv correctly, and then just set the wake up date for January 1st 2050 for the alarm and wow, it won't turn on until January 1st 2050. It's kind of like the how everyone used to joke about the stupid vcr blinking 12:00. As for getting the tv - when I ordered the tv it arrived broken. Walmart made it right though because I called customer service, and was given expedited shipping for a replacement tv. I had concerned regional managers reaching out to me, and making sure I was taken care of. Like I said in my title, Walmart is just A-M-A-Z-I-N-G, and I not only love shopping there but recommend it to my family, friend, and even any random stranger who will listen!

    Value for your money
    I bought this TV on a pre black Friday sale. I wasn't worried about buying this since I have an older RCA tv already. The picture on this TV is fantastic. You may have to adjust the color of of the box but that's not unusual. The sound is very sub par. If you don't mind your speaker rattling and being fuzzy at nearly every sound they make you're fine. But if you're looking for a really good sound look at a system of some sort. Anyway this TV is an awesome value for what it is. I would recommend it.

    not bad for price
    Purchased a week ago for $300. The picture and sound are good. The 48" is Diag. Its a nice basic TV without all the bells and whistles. Two HMDI ports ,one for Sat. and one for Blueray. Netflix from BLry. All I need. Very light. I,ll see how long it last.So far no Regrets.

    great TV for a low price
    Not sure what is up with the negative reviews. I bought this TV online in a pre-Black Friday sale, delivered free to the house. Mounted up without issue with my old kit and hung easily on the wall. I ran one HDMI to a computer and another HDMI to a Roku. There is a digital audio out, but I used the 3.5 mm jack and ran into my stereo. Beautiful picture and great sound. RCA has never been the absolute top of the line, and no, it's not a 'smart TV', but this is a great set for the price!

    Amazing Price Great picture very light weight.
    The tv is really light weight, The picture quality is great. I played PS3 games on it and watched several movies on it with no problems. Has 2 hdmi inputs. the thing that stands out is how light weight this is. I had it out of the box and watching a movie in about 10 min. Installing the stand was easy. The remote is not too fancy and pretty basic. It only has a digital audio out and a headset jack out for audio. I had to use the headset jack out for plugging my ps3 headset into.

    Great GREAT 1080p HDTV
    This is one great tv i got this for my mom who is 79 years young an it put a big big smile on her face. she has a 42'hdtv in her bedroom. i put this big boy in her livingroom soshe can see the picture from anywhere in the room what a beautiful picture this tv has an great sound if your looking for a great hdtv get this you will love it....
