Great for the price
The price was pretty good compared with others we looked at. The color picture on this screen is very clear. However, my husband did have to call the company to figure out how to change the language to English. The technician did not know how to change the language & would have to call us back. He did not call, but we figured it out. Also, the lines on the screen that are suppose to help guide you back don't really seem to be all that great, but all in all we are very happy with it, so far. We are in the process of adding an additional camera to it, as we purchased this for a travel trailer, & want the extra camera for the back of the trailer, for backing up. The additional camera that we had purchased to go with this unit did not work properly, & so we are in the process of ordering a different one & are hoping that it works out.

camera is not receiving signal
Had it installed in my car, worked for one day and then the screen keeps saying NO SIGNAL THERE WAS NO INSTRUCTION BOOKLET IN THE BOX THAT CAMERA CAME IN... I AM TRYING TO GET AHOLD OF PYLE AUDIO 7" WINDOW COMPANY THERE IS NO PHONE - WILL TRY THEIR WEB SITE - CAN YOU HELP ME REACH THEM?

    Excellent Camera for price paid
    This camera is a great product even if lacking comprehensive instructions for installation or use. I installed on a work van and at first I was about to throw it out after spending more than an hour installing it, simply because the video image did not look right to the tracking distance lines. But as I was messing with it, I discovered that you can rotate the camera on its mount and was able to fix what I saw on the monitor. The biggest downsize to this product is the lack/vague information found in the instructions manual or user's manual. I installed, it works, but I still don't know what a "green" wire on the monitor is for. However, if you want the safety and convenience of a back up camera, this is one of the best inexpensive options.

    Good system
    I like the system, like other reviews, very poor instructions. They didn't tell you anything about hooking up the monitor except to the cable going back to the camera. I have an Avalanche so the best spot I found to mount the camera was on the plastic under the bumper. Didn't really like it there so I purchased a camera that goes on the license plate. The quality of the camera was good, want to make sure I say that. I liked the distance lines on it too, the one I purchased doesn't have them. I definitely would recommend this to anyone that wants to purchase a hard wired backup camera system.

    Great display and electronic function, poor mount
    Electronic display and functionality is very good, especially for older persons. BUT the window mount needs some mechanical attention -- BUT, unfortunately, the plastic swivel ball and its extension arm seems too weak to support the display ---- thus, the display bounces annoyingly, and will most likely break-off soon. Poor mechanical engineering?

    Good Bang for the buck!
    The item works really well! No trouble so far. The instructions are pretty much non exsistant. If you're a Do-it-yourselfer like me, you'll have to wing-it with nothing more than wiring diagrams. The wiring diagram for the camera shows to connect the hot wire to the reverse light wire. I connected it to a rocker switch that I mounted on the dash so I can turn it on 'at will' as opposed to having it work in reverse gear only. You may have trouble finding a home for the monitor because it's so large. I used some sticky-back velcro, velcro strapping, and stuck it to the inside of the sun-visor. Be mindfull of where you mount the camera. If you're using it as a guide to assist in backing up to a trailer, I would suggest mounting the camera between 4 and 5 feet off the ground and aiming the camera downward at your trailer hitch ball. If you mount it on or around the licence plate then depth perseption is difficult but only at very close range.

    Same as all the others, worthless install paperwork, no reference to the green wire connection, Had no problem with the install, was a little difficult at times due to the type car I have, but went well. Left the green wire unconnected. Unit works good.

    Had to return it
    The cables didn't reach far enough on my RV. Looked at the instructions, felt like it would not meet my needs without modification. Never got it out of the box fully once I realized I would need more cable length. Wish the description had been more clear, but feel it was my fault for not researching further

    The camera and monitor were fairly easy to install. I have some background in electronics so that helped. One specific problem was that the green wire coming off the monitor that was not labeled. After searching through the online reviews, I found information telling me that the green wire was to be hooked to the backup light wire. It would be helpful to label the green wire or at the very least give more in depth instruction on the wiring diagram. Other than that it works good and friends that looked at it liked it too!

    Great for money
    This is a great system, the price was great. Only bad thing is there are no instructions with this unit. For me this isn't a problem as I have one other camera in my van 4 tv screens and indash DVD so no issue with wiring it up. Only thing anyone needs to know is green wire goes to 12+ usually to a back up light.
