Perfect for eye level
My son-in-law put this together for me. He said everything was there and he had no problems. Because I am short, and I have difficulty getting down to my lower cabinets, I needed something at eye level. This unit is absolutely perfect and as you can see, it looks good.

You wanted cheap, you got cheap.
When I received the unit at the beginning of October, I discovered that both stabilizers arrived broken (see photo). The package contents were quite loose by the time it arrived. After some false starts by Hayneedle, I received replacements almost a MONTH later. Slow but they came in unbroken. I have put many such assemble-yourself pieces together over my 66 years and it is clear the engineering here is substandard. The backing that attaches to the 2 inner vertical dividers has to be slid down the slot on the two side supports and nailed to the 2 inner supports before you can screw on the top piece. The problem is that there is nothing aligning the two inner vertical supports while you nail the backing on and, in spite of being very careful, they can move left or right off-line while doing so. As you can see from picture 2, once I screwed the top on this left inner support, the pre-drilled hole was out of line enough that the screw came thru the finished side below. The screws do not have penetrating sharp tips, like regular wood screws do, but have blunted ones, so for it to break out the side means the pressed wood just couldn't keep it aligned with the pre-drilled hole. Buy and assemble this at your peril. It looks ok on the wall and I'll try and wood glue the pieces in that were pushed out but that won't cover the damage. The damage is also high enough in the unit that I don't think CDs or DVDs will cover it either when the unit is stocked. Oh well, lesson learned...again.

    Shelving unit.
Smaller than they look , manual not very specific and vague. Backing install is very cheaply put together. Looks are discieving. Good thing they were on sale. Does look nice after all together. Material could have been better.

    Very practical wall Media Storage
This is a great and beautiful wall mount storage. You can change the shelves to fit your need. We put Books, pictures and CD on our shelves. We bought two and hung them side to side. It was a perfect fit for our media room. It is made well, and I would buy it again. It looks rich and beautiful.

    Take your time during assembly
Instructions were a bit unclear as the parts could have been labeled better, it is easy to mistake top and bottom, left and right, but other than that I love the way it turned out.

Good final product, poor instructions, really back
Good final product. The instructions were not clear. The wall system sucks, it fell on my head off the wall while mounting it. I had to put reinforcing brackets. It's very heavy and sturdy. I added lights for my collection. Looks awesome.

You can't expect solid wood at this price...
This kit doesn't have a single piece of solid wood in it. It's particle board and MDF. The veneers came with reasonable quality except for the front. That veneer is actually tape. Wow. TAPE! that's a first for me. The beautiful Cherry wood is tape covered MDF. Al that whining aside, It's stunning how good it looks. It's amazing what they can create with sawdust these days. I used wood glue with the install - the screws into plywood were sketchy. The mounting setup on the wall works really well. Countersink the screws into the studs - they have to be flush. Effectiveness: great Value: great Quality: OK Seeing the DVDs at eye level on the wall is very convenient.

    Good DVD shelf
Perfect if you have a little one. My little girl loves pulling every DVD off our racks and spreding through the house and this is just out of reach for her little fingers. Great addition to baby proofing any home

    Nice, but not as pictured
It is very durable and looks much nicer in person. However, movies don't fit like they show in the photo. If you displayed them as pictured, you wouldn't be able to get anything out because of the frame. I bought this product because the amount of dvd's it would hold, but I couldn't even put up all the shelves. It is a good buy and looks great, but keep in mind that it isn't going to fit as much as described. Also, directions were confusing. Took a couple of hours to assemble.

This is a great item. I currently have a collection of about 600 compact discs and this wall storage shelf is very ideal. Not to mention how good it looks and out of the way it is mounted on the wall. It really adds modernism to my home.
