It keeps the cat's attention
The Premier Pet Rolo Rat is perfect for my cats who are so intrigued by it. I like that it just keeps rolling around and the long tail is what really keeps them trying to get it. The red eyes glowing is another great aspect of this cat toy that really draws them to it. I think it is even fun to put in the living room with lights off and night and watch them go after those red glowing eyes. They really like this cat toy and I am glad they have something to entertain themselves with rather than focusing on fighting with each other.

Great Disappointment
I was very excited to try the Rolo Rat Automatic Cat Toy. I have a cat - Miss Kitty and thought she would enjoy this toy ( being a fierce mouser/ hunter Queen) and she would get hours of play and entertainment from it.
I was wrong, it was a total flop. This toy isn't realistic in any way. It resembles a computer mouse - not a real mouse.
The toy is made of hard plastic, looks like a white computer mouse with a black tail.
The toy requires 3 AAA batteries and to power on you push the nose. The “ mouse “ rolls, and when it bumps into things it goes another way. The eyes light up and it makes a clicking sound.
My cat hated it and I think she was even afraid of it!
I am disappointed with this toy. I thought it would look more like an actual mouse and have more features.
Maybe some cats would enjoy this toy but mine did not! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Goes for its tail but gets tired of it quickly. Sorta disappointed in it. Doesn't have wheels or anything to make it move except rolling over and it's tail flop over.KiTTYkat76

The toy looks like a small white rat with whiskers , a rubber tale and eyes that light up. It takes 3 AAA batteries. You push on the nose and it rolls around on the floor and makes clicking noises. A feature that I think is great is that you can activate it to play hours later. Unfortunately my kitten did not appreciate the toy. He just looked at it . I will keep introducing it to him every couple of months to see if it grows on him.Mandiful

However, the cats are not as interested in Rolo Rat as my three year old son, and our small dog. The rat requires batteries, which are easy to install. Then, one simply pushes the rat's nose, and the fun begins. The eyes flash bright red, it rolls around on the floor, and the creepy rubber tail moves from side to side. It also has whiskers to add to the overall look. I think that because the body is made of hard plastic, and not easily grabbed in either of my cat's mouths, it isn't as fun for them. But, my little boy and our little dog are quite taken with it. The dog steps back and starts to bark when we push the power button. My son laughs and rolls around on the floor with Rolo Rat. We have been having a great time with this cat toy. I recommend Rolo to everyone with young children and smaller dogs. It is great fun! I don't think it will hold very many cats attention, though, unless they are frisky kittens.Mamie700
