I would not buy this product again
I was excited about this product when I ordered it, however, when I received the table there were damages. The damages were quite extensive to the tabletop and you can see two large gashes across that top that are very noticeable. I was unhappy that the delivery person arranged the boxes (there were 6 large boxes total) putting the damaged box facing the ground with all others stacked atop of it. When I signed for the package this damage was unnoticeable and I feel like that was dishonest of the delivery person. Now I have a dining set that will cost me for repairs and cost over $1000.00 to begin with. Had the set not arrived damaged I think that it would have been a very nice sturdy set. The table and chairs did not take long to put together and it is otherwise very attractive. Overall I would not buy this item again, and would have been better off shopping locally.

    Arrived damaged - too much of a pain to return
    Arrived with a large deep scratch on surface of table. The table is heavy and good quality, but for being brand new and already having such noticeable damage, I was disappointed. Everything is in pieces, so expect to put together. I debated 3 vs 4 stars, but ultimately I like it. We bought a repair kit for the scratch. Unfortunately, the scratch is too deep and it's still very present. Too much of a pain to take everything apart and try to bring it to Wal-Mart for a return. So, buyer beware.

    Only if you have patience & are handy
    First off, this dining room set is a lot more beautiful in person than the picture shows. The problems that we had with this was it wasn't "some assembly required". It's more like all assembly required. With a few of the chairs, the legs were made wrong. The holes were facing the wrong way to attach the cross bar to. My husband just used his drill to fix the issue. There were also this scratch mark in every chair and in several spots on the table. They were all identical, looked like a Native American currency with lines and dashes. It was annoying, but livable. 14 hours later, our table looks great. Just have patience and make sure you have your own tools ready because the ones they send you really don't help too much.
