Very Good, Inexpensive Shaver
Used electric shavers for many years, twenty to thirty, but got away from them in favor of an old-fashioned shave. Last electric shaver yanked on the whiskers somewhat - that helped to push me to a razor and shaving cream. This Norelco surprised me. It does a very good job. I got it because we go camping often so a quick buzz to look presentable is a good thing. This shaver works well and doesn't yank whiskers. It's both battery and plug-in if the battery is low. Really glad I bought it.

1st time junk by Norelco
Total Junk Froze up after 6 mo. also had to use my 10 yr old Norelco Shaver to shave what the new shaver misses. I wanted new blades, but they didn't have them

Good product and an excellent value
I have used the Philips 2300 shaver for several months and have enjoyed it. The shaver is very quiet and does a nice cutting job with a minimum of effort. The reasonable purchase price really makes the Philips 2300 shaver a nice value.

Not perfect, but pretty good for the money
Works well for my beard, particularly if i skip shaving for a day or two. The rotary blades pick up the long whiskers without a problem. The only downside is I need to pay more attention to my nose area since the circular blades don't get close enough and I need to use the built in trimmer or a stick razor to get those whiskers hiding up under my snoz. All in all though, overall performance is better than the foil razor i was using.

A very good electric razor at an affordable price.
This product was purchased to replace a Norelco electric razor that I owned for many years. (The wire insulation on the charging device was so old it was cracking and falling off. So it was time to purchase a new electric razor.) I saw that Walmart had this electric razor on sale last Christmas for something like $29.00. So, because my old Norelco electric razor had provided me with such good service, I decided to order this electric razor from Walmart. I am glad that I did. This electric razor came with instructions, which I read, and an AC/DC charging unit for the electric razor. I charged the electric razor for a few hours before I used it for the first time. Then I shaved with it. It did a very good job. It shaved my whiskers very close to my skin and never pulled any of my whiskers while it was doing that. (This electric razor is designed to be used on whiskers that are wet or dry. So you can use it before or after you shower. A big plus.). There is a battery charge light that indicates when the electric razor needs to be recharged. So you should never end up with a partially shaved face. I'd recommend this electric razor to any of my friends. A very good electric razor at an affordable price.

    Crummy razor, don't buy it
Don't waste your money. Total junk. It doesn't get anywhere **near** close enough not to require that you give another few passes of a static Gillette III hand held manual razor. I guess if you had a heavy beard (which I can't imagine this device handling), you **might** be able to get it down to a level after which you could use a handheld static safety razor. I'm going to spend more money on a Panasonic and hope it's better, i.e., **works**. <sigh>. I have a great Phillips I bought in Australia that works great, but it's corded for AU, and I can't use it in the U.S. Fortunately I spend several mos a yr in AU, so I can use that one there—**without** needing to do passes afterward of a handheld static safety razor like the Gillette III

Safety Razor is 100% than this
Takes multiple passes to achieve mediocre results. Slow motor. Bad design.

Can it be used with the cord all the time?
The item arrived on time and in good condition. I purchased the item because the blades of my previous shaver were getting hard to find an costly to replace. I wanted a shaver that was corded, but that is hard to find nowadays. The 2300 said it was battery but could run plugged in with the charger. I found that after the first week I noticed that the charging light was flashing, meaning that it was charging the battery that was charged before the first use. That brings up the question, can the charger power the shaver without using power from the battery? So now I have a shaver that has to be plugged in occasionally when not in use. I don't want to have a cord plugged in unless it is being used. I may have to relocate it to a different outlet while charging. It does a good job of cutting my old gray beard. I'm somewhat new to shaving. For decades almost as long as I could grow facial hair I've had some kind of bead in one shape or another until the last couple of years when I shaved it all off. So I would purchase it again if need be.

    Best shaver for the money
I was very surprised by how quiet the shaver was when running. The shaver is very comfortable and contours to your chin and neck, for a very, very smooth shave. With my old shaver I had to finish off my shave each morning with a razor. The pop-up trimmer on this shaver actually works.

    Better than before
It’s great to finally have a less expensive Norelco that can be washed out with tap water but not require the whole razor to be usable in the shower (more expensive models). It’s also nice that you can now charge and use it at the same time (feature not available at this price point two years ago when I bought my son his first waterproof razor).

    Good shaver
Got this as a gift for my husband to replace his old one that he had for over 20 years. He likes that this one can be used with or with out the cord. It has the triple heads and he said it gave him a close shave.
