Easy and fast to use
When I first got the Philips Norelco Comfort shaver home, I gave it to my adult son to use. So he took it and used it for a few weeks. He loved it. He said the Philips norelco comfort shaver was easy to use and fast. He really loved what a close up shave he got.He thought the pop up trimmer was great. He like the fact that on norelco shaver the top just pops up and you run it under water to clean it. You can use it for a wet or dry shave. The Philips norelco comfort shaver held a charge for almost two weeks befor he had to recharge it. That's another thing he liked ,the fact that it was cordless made it really easy to use. He is looking forward to not buying razors or shave creame anymore. So he really liked the Philips Norelco comfort Shaver. He plans to get his dad one for his dad's birthday.

Takes time to adjust to
The Philips Norelco Shaver comes with a 2 year warranty and a 45 day money-back guarantee. It is rechargeable triple headed shaver with at least 45 mins of cordless use. I got this shaver for my husband because he uses a $12 shaver and was talking about getting a new one. I have to tell you that he was not impressed with this shaver. He said it didn't seem powerful enough and it felt flimsy BUT if you take the time to read the instructions, it states that you may not get a close shave at first and this is normal as your skin and beard need time to adjust. They ask you to stick with it and invest 3 weeks during the adjustment period and if you are not convinced after 21 days, they will give you a full refund as long as the purchase under 45 days. So, the jury is still out on if he will end up liking it. He is pretty picky and doesn't care about expense. Right now, he values his $12 shaver. The razor is a sleek, black manly design with an easy grip. My husband loved the trimmer feature that pops out from the side. It has a nice blade protective cover when not in use and the power cord is not big and bulky. To clean, you just pop the razor top off and empty, then rinse the razor top in hot water. It is hard for me to rate this right now given the fact they ask you give it at least 21 days and guarantee you will end up liking it. So I am rating a 3 as I am in between on how to rate. If you are purchasing – no harm as you can get your money back if you don't end up liking it.

    great electric shaver
When I first started to shave, I used an electric razor. After I moved to a different country, I could no long use it because of the voltage difference. From then on, I use only razor blades. Over the years, razor blades have changed a lot. Nowadays, razor blades are excellent. One drawback is that it takes 15 minutes to shave. As the blades are getting dull, it takes even longer. Electric shavers have changed a lot, too. I heard that the floating rotary head type is excellent. Now I have a chance to try out this Philips Norelco 3100 electric shaver. I have it charged overnight. When it is charging, a blinking green will be on. The light goes away when it is fully charged. I can use it for 4 weeks after a full charge. When the battery is getting weak, a yellow light will be blinking, so that you know it needs to be charged again before the next use. The three floating rotary heads work very well, and the shave is close enough for me. It takes me only two minutes to shave. I do not need to use shaving cream and aftershave lotion. There is a shaver head replacement indicator. The shaver head needs to be replaced approximately once a year. There is also a trimer attachment. It is recommended to clean the shaver under running water. I am very happy with this electric shaver. I will recommend it to all my friends.

    Great Basic Shaver
This Phillips Norelco 3100 shaver has three heads that flex according to the shape of your face giving a close yet comfortable shave. The feature I like most is the head flip open and can be washed under the faucet without having to disassemble the head. You can use the shaver with the cord provided, or you can shave for up to 45 minutes without a cord after charging it for 8 hours. There is also a pop up trimmer on the back side of the shaver making it convenient to use while shaving. The rubber like covering makes it comfortable to hold securely even with wet hands. There are many more expensive shavers out there with all kinds of bells and whistles, but this basic shaver has all I need, and it is for a reasonable price.

Philips Norelco Shaver 3100 Model #S3310/81
It was about 55 years ago I got a Norelco electric razor as a graduation gift. I was surprised and happy. Even way back then it was the "top of the line" I used it everyday for years. Then a new model came out and I bought myself a new one. I have used the Norelco electric most of my life. Was I surprised again when I got the Philips Norelco Shaver 3100, Model #S3310/81. What a difference is was from my first one. First the shape fits great in your hand. It has a tripleheader floating shaver heads. This little shaver is cordless and rechargeable and can last about 8 hours. For those who travel overseas it can be used in most countries. (100-240V to less than 24 V DC. The Philips Norelco has a charge light, a low battery indicator and a shaver head replacement indicator. With all this it has a Pop-up trimmer. The best part is the shaver can be cleaned with running water ( always unplug) The first time I used it I got a clean close shave as good or better than a conventional razor It "fit" all the curves and crevices on my face and neck. It did not burn or "pull" like some razors do. It comes with a 2-year warranty and a 45 day money back guarantee. This would be the perfect gift for the graduate on you list this spring.

Great Shaver!!! It's a must have for Teens
Received this for a review and this is my/ my son's honest opinion, my 15 yr. old son used this and I must say I was very impressed. This razor works very well. It gives you a nice clean close shave without any razor bumps (which my sons loved) he always had issues with getting terrible razor bumps after shaving no matter what type of razor I bought for him. It takes less time to clean up and get his morning/ day started It's washable to a certain extinct I wouldn't gauge it under water for a long period of time. Recharge it for charge only takes about 45 min and you're good to go for a couple days. Nice grip around the bottom. No slipping there, Very well made a great price for what you get. Features: The sideburns clipper is good. Does a nice job on touch ups and getting the long hairs cut down a bit! On another note: I did use it on my legs and under arms and now I want one as well. (Note) to all women it worked wonders. I recommend it to others mostly young men/teenagers. Feel that this razor would be perfect for younger males who are just starting to shave. It's a must have for Teens!!!!!

    Great electric razor!!
My review/feedback comes from my neighbor. After he saw the razor and I told him I was doing a review on it, he wanted to try it out. Luckily, he hadn't shaved yet. He loved the fact that it can be used with or without the cord. While shaving he commented how well it worked on a 2 day beard and did not "pull" the whiskers out, it actually cut the hair. A difference he mentioned is the handle/grip...so comfortable to use with ease and keep control, not like the old electric razors that were square & flat which was hard to hold. The trimmer worked great, exactly what he expected it to. The amazing part is the fact you can clean it using water!! He was thrilled with the overall experience and is going out to buy one for himself. He hasn't had an electric razor for over 10 years because he didn't care for the inadequate job they did but was excited to find one that does. He definitely recommends this razor.

    overall, a good rechargeable shaver
I feel the Norelco 3100 would be more than adequate for the average male. I've owned several Norelco rechargeable shavers over the past 30 years. I think I'll like the Norelco 3100 best of all. It shaves pretty close and is relatively quiet. It sounds like it runs at a higher RPM than older models. Part of the front face is coated with a rubber like material which makes the shaver easier to grip than older all-plastic models. The popup trimmer does an adequate job of trimming sideburns. While a full charge required 8 hours, the instructions state that a 3-minute quick-charge provides enough power for one cordless shave, which can be convenient if the battery has been exhausted. Instructions recommend using the shaver exclusively for 21 days, for the closest shave. The shaving head can be cleaned using tap water and then left to dry thoroughly before using it again. I usually employ a bit of canned air to help a shaving head free of debris, however the instruction manual states NOT to use compressed air, just tap water. Extra-thorough cleaning is required from time to time. Cutters are matched to their combs through everyday usage, thus clean the three heads individually in order to avoid mixing up the cutter-comb pairs. When fully charged, you can probably expect at least 7 shaves before recharging is necessary. You will probably want to replace the cutters in about one year.

CLOSE & COMFORTABLE SHAVE FOR WOMEN, TOO :-)
I was going to give this to one of my brothers, since it's supposed to be a men's shaver, but had to try out for myself, to make sure it works well. I've read that some women prefer the mens electric shavers because they get a closer shave. I love this shaver, and may end up keeping for myself, especially since the blade in my last disposable razor is so dull, it's going in the trash. This comes with a protective case for heads, and a 6 foot charging cord, which transforms 100-240 volts AC to less than 24 volts DC. It's much quieter than the last electric shaver I tried, and the 3 heads, (which go in 4 different directions cutting), and the comfort blade, shaved all my hairs off on legs, and under arms, quickly, and smoothly. How nice to not get knicked, or cut, like I do sometimes using the disposable kind. It uses a lithium-ion battery, that takes 8 hours to charge, and has a 45 minute cordless use, wet or dry. When it needs a recharge, there's an icon in front of shaver that will blink orange, to warn you there's 5 minutes left. It's very easy to clean by pressing the release button to pop head open. Instructions say to rinse heads under hot tap water, but since I dry shaved in my bedroom, I just blew hairs into trash bag. The pop trimmer worked great, too, as I have a few tiny hairs above my lips. This shaver also has an icon on front that will blink orange when heads need to be replaced (after about a year or so). Instruction manual also says that it may take up to 3 weeks for some to adjust, and may not be as close of a shave as you want, or may irritate skin at first. So, if you're not happy with results after 21 days, Philips Norelco will give you a complete refund (within 45 days of purchase). There is also a 2 year warranty, except for cutters, and combs. I would definitely recommend this for men, or women, and will save money, and bandages, in the long run, from buying disposables.

    love it!
This review of the Philips Norelco Shaver 3100, Model #S3310/81 is coming from a woman. I know traditionally that the Philips Norelco Shaver is used by men for their beards, but I have been using an electric shaver for my legs for quite some time - a womans electric shaver, and have not been entirely happy with any of the multiple brands I have used. I said - why not try a mans electric razor? So here I am with my Philips Norelco Shaver 3100, Model #S3310/81, trying it out. I charged it for the recommended time and then used it on my legs and armpits with great results. Nice and smooth, hardly missed a hair! After a shower, I again used it on my legs and they really came out even smoother. I will say this, though - in the booklet, it says that you may experience some irritation when you first use it. They weren't kidding! In my armpits I got a razor burn on all the skin surrounding the shaving area - but I have never used an electric razor on my armpits before. It says to use it for at least a month - an the area in my armpits that actually had hair was shaved so closely that I will definitely continue using it, despite the rash. I love it!
