What the Buzz is all about.
The Petrainer PET998DR1 Dog Training Collar Is great for my Lab/Pit mixed puppy. He isn't a bad dog, but he is pretty stubborn. This collar has been a great help in controlling his behavior. I have only had to use the vibration setting with him. It works great and the remote can control 2 collars. (Though this model only comes with one)

bought twice broke twice
I have bought two and both worked for a month and they stop working the first broke just pass the 30 days so I bought another and it also broke just pass a month. won't recommend

    Does what its supposed to.
    The only thing I dont like about it is the charging port is under the collar so you have to take the collar off of the vibrator (if thats what you call it). This makes difficult to take the collar off. should be either behind it or on top or bottom.

    Great investment!
    I have only been using it for a couple days on my almost 2 year old boxer Stella, but am very impressed so far. Stella barks a lot. I have not tried any other setting but the beep and just having it beep Stella instantly stops barking. I have grand kids around a lot(very blessed) but they are notorious for running in and out to play and Stella gets out because she wants to play too. If Stella gets out she thinks it's a game and runs around and wont come when called. Stella got let out yesterday, I beeped the collar, said "Stella come" and she came right back into the house 2 different times! Will be expanding our training in coming weeks

    Just as effective as my 250 dollar dogtra training collars. My only drawback is the collar is too loose even at its smallest fitting. It’s easily fixed though with a safety pin to hold in place. One good vibration and my dog is immeaditly calmed down.I currently use this collar on two pit bulls and one German Shepherd

    Hercules Responds!
    Hercules is my grayhound/pointer mix rescue dog. We are his fourth home in about 18 months. He is a fence jumper and extremely fast! Although I tried using the sound and vibration options, Hercules did not get phased by them. Last resort was the shock option and it works like a charm. As instructed I started at very low pulse. Hercules responded quickly and he had already made it several yards away from me. Collar is neat in appearance and not "too" much for a dog his size. Charging/recharging is so easy. Yes, I recommend this collar. Well made. Easy to use. Do take the time to watch some YouTube videos.

    Changed our lives!
    After 3 successful obedience programs with our setter/lab mix, he could do all his commands in the quiet of our yard. Add distraction, no. The electronic collar has enabled me to settle down his distraction level and remind him his command. This collar is super inexpensive yet offers 3 levels of beep, vibrate, and shock. My initial collar stopped transmitting after just 2 weeks, but no mind, called the company and they very quickly shipped me another. I believe the initial collar was defective, it ne'er made the initial "beep" when calibrating with the transmitter. The new collar has us out enjoying walks again. I have never used the shock button. Only beep and vibrate. Now, I simple put the collar on, show the dog the remote and he settles down. When walking and I see a bicycle or jogger coming, just pulling the remote out of my pack sends the dog into sit and place. Haven't pressed a button. Highly recommend, charges quickly, customer service backs up their product.

    Great training collar
    My dog is constantly goig in the neighbors yard and they really don't like that. The house was empty for a long time so we never really thought about the dog going over there. Now that someone is there we need to train him to stay in the yard. This collar is much better value then getting an eletric fence. It works great and the dog now stays in our yard. At first we had to use it a few times, but now all we have to do is show him the remote and he stays in our yard. We also use it when he is barking to much, like when the mailman comes to the door because the mail won't fit in the mailbox, the dog barks excessively. The collar is a blessing and now all we have to do is show the dog the remote and he behaves.

    Forget the hound... I'M shocked
    To be honest, I was quite skeptical about this thing- too much hype and it sounded impossible for the price. That said, the combo works great- my Ridgeback Hound and the gizmo itself. For reasons unknown, this dog seems to have written the owner's training manual. I could write a book about the results but let's just say it has been fun, funny, and extremely effective. It's worth the price just to see the look on Scarlett's face when an alien sends an electronic message.
