1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser03/20/2019Pete the Cat is excite...Pete the Cat is excited for the treats he thinks he will find in his Easter basket, only to discover a letter from the Easter Bunny on the big morning, asking for his help in making, decorating and hiding the festive eggs. Always upbeat, Pete kicks into gear, helping the holiday bunny in his trouble... Much as with Pete the Cat: The Great Leprechaun Chase, I found myself singularly unimpressed with this Easter offering. I've read all of the full-sized Pete the Cat picture-books, and a smattering of the early readers and other titles, because the character is so popular at work, but these holiday offerings just feel gratuitous and unnecessary, as if the Deans were coattail-riding at this point. The rhymes here were only so-so, the story somewhat odd - no, Pete the Cat, helping others, as laudable as it may be, is not what Easter is "all about" - and the artwork uninspiring. Determined fans of the character might find this one appealing, especially with the Easter cards and poster that have been included, but I'd advise all others to give it a miss.AbigailAdams26
