Safe and it works !
I have a 70 pound Dalmatian still super hyper and active because he's a puppy. He would pull very hard that it would burn and cut my hands. I got him a harness and it made it worse. Pulling him tight only chocked him. I did my research and bought this. Worked amazing on the first try. Did pull but very slightly. I was able to walk him with only one hand! Such a relief for him and me.

Do not buy
This is junk. It keeps falling apart. We have a similar product from another brand that works perfect but this is going back to the store.

    Collar fell apart after 1 walk
    This thing fell apart when we were walking our German shepherd. Took it home to repair it, same thing happened again in a different spot. Terrible product

    DEFINITELY A GOOD INVESTMENT
    This collar was amazing. We'd heard about a neighbor using something like this and were intrigued but nervous that it would hurt our dog. We have a 55lb pit-weiler. He's not aggressive, but he had a really bad habit of pulling when we were walking him. It took about 10 seconds for him to stop pulling with this collar on. It didn't seem to hurt him like we were worried about. He didn't cough or choke or show any signs of distress. The first time he pulled, he stopped immediately and after that, he walked right by my wife's side. Such a game changer.

    Good collar
    Very good collar. I ordered as a replacement for the same collar, to have a back up just in case. The only part that I don't love is the clasp. It broke on my first collar and we replaced it with a duel ended clip, and that worked great. Also, I did receive a large when I was supposed to receive an X-large collar. However it will still work for my dog, (who is a weird size, so I have to remove links) so I need to remove fewer links on a smaller collar.. I was not going to wait two hours to be able to talk to customer service on chat or phone, and there is no way to email them.
