Happy HEMI 5.7
Switched from Castrol Edge to Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5w-20 with a WIX HP filter in my 2018 RAM HEMI 5.7. What a difference. Quieter starts and just outright runs smoother. I am SOLD. This is my new GO TO combo.

Excessive engine vibration
This 5w20 didn't work well with my 2003 Odyssey. The engine had excessive vibration when accelerating. I was so concerned and had to do another oild change. Everything returned to normal when I went back to Super Tech 5w-20 that I used to use. Maybe the viscosity of this is different?

    My oil for my motor.
    It took some research but I discovered that this oil is specifically recommended for my 2015 Grand Cherokee. I have been using it for a couple years and my oil consumption went down from 1 quart in 800 miles to 1 quart in 1800 miles. The base stock and additive package are perfect for the application! If you own a newer Jeep, I highly recommend it!

    Shell promotion not honored!
    Shell offers a promotion. It is still in the valid date range. I sent in the forms twice and they always came with silly wrong date excuses to deny the promotion. Never again and the oil will go back! There is cheaper oil out there which does the job as well.

    Best oil for price hands down.
    Been using the Ultra Platinum since project farmer did his testing on multiple brands awhile back. This is second best but cheaper. Use it for all my vehicles. Also recommend to everyone I know.

    the best for RAM trucks
    Having worked in an automotive shop during college, I got to know well how things worked when it came to oil changes. It certainly led me to question the quality of the basic oils that we put in cars. As a result, I am sure to only put the best in my vehicles, specifically, what the auto manufacturer recommends. For RAM, that brand is Pennzoil, which is already a highly regarded motor oil in the industry. This Pennzoil is top of the line. I tow with my truck, so it already works harder than your average vehicle. That is why it is important to use the best. This stuff is the best Pennzoil offers and I have been pleased with its performance after two oil changes (10k miles). I will use nothing else in my truck.

    Great oil for hemi
    Apparently this the best oil for my hemi tick in my 2017 Ram with the 5.7 hemi . Other oils I have used in it seems to have the dreaded hemi tick when starting up, this oil almost eliminated the tick all together. It will do it every now and then but nowhere near as bad as with other oils. They say Redline is extremely good for the hemi but I cant afford $60 dollars just for oil.

    Why the new bottle is not DEXOS approved
    I used Pennzoil Ultra Platinum every oil change from the time I bought my new car. And I already put 135k miles on it and it runs like new as comment also from other people borrowing my car. My concern is that, why the old bottle(black) Ultra Platinum is dexos approved and the new bottle(Yellow) does not have the approval?
