Easy Work
We have very high traffic areas in our backyard by our above ground pool and play area. I did very little prep other than raking the surface lightly before spreading the seed! No additional watering other than the summer rains and I was very pleased with how this filled in! No straw, no cover at all and boom...beautiful bright green grass! That being said, this product is the best I've used yet I have tried to grow grass in my front yard in traffic areas and in my backyard where it is very shady I already have new baby grass growing after just a couple days!

Pennington Bare Spot repair did not perform
I spread the seed around our bare spots as instructed about 3 weeks ago and we've had steady rain along with watering the areas I seeded. However, I did not see any results of the seeds sprouting up to this point.

    Fantastic
    Wow! I planted this in my dirt /muddy backyard due to 2 chihuahuas. I just sprinkled it in a4 foot area, didn't even rake it in or anything. Now I have beauty thick grass. I can't believe it. I will purchase again to do the rest of my yard!

    Was okay...
    I bought this for my father's yard. He has huge patches of grass that just dont grow. I followed instructions a d didnt see too much of a difference honestly. It did start growing some in small patchy areas but not even enough to cover the " small patch " . Im s giving it time to do its job but im not hopeful ‍♀️

    Great for high traffic areas!
    A very solid product! I have a bunch of high traffic areas (heavily walked, cars parking, etc) and this has brought these patchy areas of my yard back to life! I would recommend for anyone with bare spots due to high traffic!

    Fixed my yard
    Pennington Bare Spot Repair has really helped my lawn look better. I had a few bare spots and after following the directions exactly, they are really starting to fill in. The seeds did germinate very quickly and it is blending well with my current grass. I can barely notice where the spots were originally. I will definitely use this product in the future and recommend to anyone whose yard needs a little bit of TLC. It works much better than products I've used in the past with faster results.

    I got this Bare Spot Repair for the thinking spots in my yard. I'm so glad I did! It actually worked pretty quick! I was expecting it to take a long time to see results, but it didn't! So this is what i will turn to from now on whenever i need to fill in spots of grass in my yard! Super awesome. I tell my family and friends they should use it if they have issues with thin spots of grass in their yard!

    Better than expected!
    We have had a really wet spring here so far and I wasn't sure how this product would do but it came through. For whatever reason the birds didn't seem to bother it too much which is great because it's so disappointing to see half of what you put down pick right back up before the end of the day. I didn't water our seeds at all because it has been so wet and they all sprouted up in less than a week. There's a good amount of coverage in this bag and it's formulated in such a way that makes it easy to cast evenly by hand. We used to cover up a spot where a tree had been and it's all sprouting nicely. I have a bit left in the bag and we'll be sure to find a place to use it since its sprouted quickly and evenly. Very nice product from Pennington.

    Really nice bare spot fix
    The Pennington bare spot fix has germinated very fast and has thickened up nicely. Should be ready to mow in another week or two but so far I have thoroughly enjoyed the ease of use with this bag of seed. Other lawn repair products I've tried in the past had very spotty germination but this product seemed to do very well.

    Works well on my dogs favorite spot
    I recently put this down on my dog's favorite spot and was amazed to see how quickly I see sprouting growing from the ground. Great to have to repair patches from dogs, washouts, or any other reason needed.
