Beware! Men With Normal Foot Size
The device seems well built and sturdy; however, it has a serious flaw. I am unable to use it UNLESS barefoot in which case the attached pads hurt my feet. I emailed service@paradigmhw.com and was told by their representative that there is nothing available that I can use. Therefore, I spent nearly $80.00 for an item that causes pain to use unless I can figure out how to add padding to the foot pads so I can use it comfortably while barefoot. MEN, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! Don't buy this unless (1) you have small, narrow feet. They should be B or C width at most or (2) you are willing to 'jury rig' a fix to make the use painless.

works w/wo electric and backward peddling
works w/wo electric - Electric assist is optional and you can adjust assist to a max. or minimal level allowing more or less effort backward peddling - simply turn machine around and to workout another muscle group If you like to chart your progress (client's) a readout of each : time, distance, calories, repetitions - pick one for the readout display then flip through to check the other tallies. Quiet enough you can watch a movie while using or use without disturbing coworkers. Some possible issues: The readout is not backlit so it is not easy to see while peddling. I checked stats (distance, reps....) at end of workout. I have doubts about the accuracy of some of the information displayed. Calories burned/distance I think it is questionable how accurate. Still using time peddling is an easy to verify stat to chart. Stops very 15 min. requires you to press 'off' then press 'on' again. This is not a big inconvenience and can become second nature after a few times. Potential for injury- the peddles/motor keep going for 15 mins. so never leave a person alone if they cannot remove their foot from peddle if needed. I would not leave plugged in if young children are around that may press the 'on' switch which sets the peddles spinning Recommend? Would recommend as a light weight, space saving option for an indoor 'bike'. Makes an ok, less expensive, under the desk exerciser compared to the $300 models sold. You may need an adjustable height desk to accommodate the rising knees while peddling (elliptical machines with forward/back motion are better for this purpose if using a standard desk. One option is an inexpensive adjustable height laptop mobile cart, I see them in the $40 range and up on Walmart, I have a higher end version that has a larger work surface and works great with an exercise bike.

    Great Exercise Product
I like this product. I had one before that lasted several years until I wore it out. I wanted another one just like it and this is it. This brand/style is better than the others I have seen. The design is perfect for me and the pedals work better than others I have tried that my relatives had. I sit at a computer at home for long periods of time and this keeps the circulation going and my heart muscle exercising. I think it helps to keep your legs from cramping/falling asleep and you can do it fast or real slow. It helps me to be more active even though I am sitting. You can watch TV, listen to music, read, or use the computer while doing this. To me it is better than a regular sit down exercise bike because you can sit it up under your desk and work at the same time. I am trying to incorporate more activity/movement into my life for better health and this has been a great tool.

    so far fits the bill
I have only had the machine about a week. I use it in the morning having coffee and at night watching a movie. It is a little sqweeky noisy, not really a good sign for something new. But not too loud. It does move on the floor like other people wrote. I put little weights in front and it is fine. I have not used it for arms yet, have to figure out a good spot. I'm heavy, strong but knee in jury's and it has plenty of power for me. It is small and easy to push out of the way. I really like it so far. Walmart shipping was great. The price was good. I was looking for recombant bike and I think this is better for my needs. I can use my comfy chair rather than have a big machine to find a place for. For the money and my needs so far very nice. I can't a test to the long term quality. If I can get at least a year out of it with regular use that would be fair if it lasts longer and holds up I would say great machine.

    Bike
My son is paralyzed and this bike is great for him. It gives his legs the movement he needs also uses it for his arms.

This exercise cycle is perfect for my needs.
I am recovering from a triple fracture of my femur. I needed a recumbent cycle that can be set to zero resistance but did not want to invest in a full - size machine. After researching and reading reviews, I settled on the ACTIVE CYCLE Motorized Exercise Cycle and it is perfect for my needs.

    love it
At first i was not sure if I bought the wright thing. It came perfectly packaged nothing to assemble, just plug it in, set the controls and off you go. Great for me, it doesn't take much space and gives me the movement I need. I would recomend this product to anyone who wants to get a little movement for legs and arms.

    Exerpeutic ACTIVCycle, purchase and warranty.
So far so good. We actually have two, so two people can use at the same time. Still waiting to see how durable they are. More interested to learn how long they will last, and what replacement will be like if we need to go through that. I wish the pedaling mechanism could spin the crank faster. It does slide on the floor, even with gripping devices. Cords could be longer.

Good but pedal stirrups are small
I purchased this for my mother who suffered a stroke a year ago. One side is affected (paralysis) but she is able to pedal. Unfortunately the straps that come with the machine run too small and my mother's affected foot/leg slips off the pedal. I will try to secure her foot with some velcro, otherwise I will have to return the item. I would have rated this higher if the pedal straps were larger. So my review is somewhat skewed. It is a nice piece of equipment and should be beneficial to anyone requiring passive physical activity.
