Love this
This really is a great Blu-ray player. This is the first 4K ultra HD Blu-ray player I've owned. Set up was extremely easy all I had to do was plug in the appropriate cords. Have your own HDMI cord ready, but it does come with batteries for the remote.

This 4k blu-ray player works great. I wouldn't say it's the best of the best as the marketplace for adding apps seems to be outdated, but if you just want to pop in a DVD this will work. I was not happy with the way it was packages, however. It came in its original packaging with a shipping label slapped on. I'm glad I was home when it came as anyone could have seen that there was a blu ray player sitting on my porch. The box was also smashed up, luckily the device was not damaged.

The high resolution of the video output is amazing where you can clearly see every detail, especially on the ultra UHD Blu-ray discs. The high-res sound is equally as great which increases the entertainment experience. Set up with quick and easy as all you have to do is follow the prompts. The player also has voice assistance which I found hilarious because it speaks at a quick pace. I ended up turning it off during the initial set up. The package comes with the Blu-ray Player, power cord, remote, and batteries for the remote. You'll need a high-speed HDMI cable compatible with 4K to connect to your TV. The entire unit is lightweight where you can easily transfer it to a different room.VsoSavage

I never realized how amazing a blu ray picture was VS a standard movie/DVD. If you've also been curious as to blu ray or DVD- I'd highly recommend go with the blu ray! Not to mention the awesome features that also came with this Panasonic: airs HDMI or wireless, it has a sleek remote, and was simple to get up and running!! Not to mention the picture is out of this world with the 4K UHD feature!!! It's also got all the bells & whistles if you wanna add prime, YouTube, etc…MamaOf3Boys

Make sure you purchase an HDMI cord to have it ready to go! The remote contains 2AA batteries and is Prime Video, Netflix, & YouTube ready! The Blu-Ray player doesn't take up too much room, which I like! I am able to watch all my movies with a MUCH BETTER crystal clear quality to it! As with any electronic device it can get a bit warm, so keep it on a shelf by itself. I also love that's there is a voice assist (so my Alexa can be connected) that works with this device! It's a wonderful feature to have! All in all this brings the quality and makes a wonderful gift for any season or birthday!!SandraD

It has a quirky design in that the whole front face opens when the disc holder extends (see pic) but mechanical functions seem solid. The voice assist is super annoying due to sound of the voice and speed talking but menus are fairly easy to navigate and the Netflix, Prime and YouTube connections (no other popular streaming options), as well as the mirroring function are all welcome conveniences in updating entertainment devices since 'cutting the cord'. There are other free apps that you can access, like Pandora and ocean sound and fireplace apps by pressing the "Internet" button of the remote. And of course, music and video can be viewed via USB.UpgraderGirl

Basically it is a plug-it-in and play and not complicated at all. It also works with Google Assist and Alex, but I don't have those, so I couldn't try that out. I was able to watch all my favorite movies including my 3D animated Blu-Ray discs that had previously only been viewed from game consoles. This was so much nicer to have a real Blu-Ray player with the 4K HD capability to see crystal clear 4K movies with the Blu-Ray technology finally. *Cons* The chassis seemed to get hot quickly and stay really hot. I was afraid to put anything on top of it to protect it from dust because of the heat it generated. *Conclusion* I would recommend the Panasonic 4K Ultra HD Blu-Ray Player with HDR10+ and Hybrid Log-Gamma (HLG) Playback, Hi-Res Sound, 4K VOD Streaming and Voice Assist.
