good fitting, comfortable and stylish!
I took the size 8 number shoe and it fitting me perfectly. I really liked the color combination used on the shoe. The color combination together with the design pattern makes the shoe look very stylish. I also liked that the shoe is very comfortable. The sole of the shoe is around a inch but is light weight. The sole has a good grip and excellent for hiking, biking or any outdoor activities. It is non slip and provide good grip when walking in a trail uphill. I also liked that there is a layer of cushion padded inside the shoe that provide the comfortless even if wore it without socks. The lace of the shoe is good size; it is long enough to tie it around the ankle. I wore it two times so far and wore it mainly to walk on the trail near by when the weather was good. However, based on the usage so far I can tell that this is a very good shoe and will last long. I would recommend it to others who are looking for a trail shoe!

Garbage
Totally garbage!!! Ripped open on the first ten days of usage and I even wear it casually day by day.

    New style has terrible durability
Should have trusted the reviewers who noted that the shoes have been changed. Old style were great value, current are garbage. Started to crack after a week of walking the dog; by six weeks they are falling apart. Do not buy; bad value at any price.

    Value oriented Suede hiking shoe
Am using these shoes for bicycle touring where weight doesn't matter as much. These shoes appear to be fairly rugged vented low hiking shoes. They feature doubled stitched suede uppers with a thick rubber sole. These would be OK for work, cycling, walking or hiking but they have a stiff arch and are quite heavy. They would be warmer in winter weather and offer better protection when hiking than the usual nylon mesh uppers used for competitive running shoes. Ozark trail offers a similar stiff rugged hiking sole with a mid waterproof boot for even more support and protection.

Great fit with good traction and 5 star durability
Ozark Trail. Shoes with flair & style. Has good weight balance.with just enough padding in some and around top perimeter. Features a good flexible grip "vibram°" type synthetic rubber sole. Sole is fully glued and sealed all around to keep wet mud from seeping into soles. Looks and feels like an over $50 combo hiking / trail shoe.. Khaki color with black accents very nice touch. Red and black accents in soles. Pre-Laced with nice matching colors. Laces very long to double lace in guggedcterrain applications.

Great shoes for hiking trails or pavement
At 75 years old I've always been an avid outdoorsman, spend a lot of time running, cycling, or hiking. Lately have turned more towards hiking and hike 6 miles every morning after 30 minutes of inside floor exercises. My trail takes me out of a paved subdivision, down a paved road to a JUCO with a trail surrounding the JUCO that is wooded. Liked the looks of these Ozark Trail shoes and decided to give them a try. No breaking in needed, simply paired them with a pair of thick, cushioned cotton socks I also got at Walmart, laced them on, and hiked my morning 6 miles with them. The shoes were excellent, very comfortable, and left my feet fresh after the workout. I am immediately replacing my more expensive hiking shoes with the Ozark Trail shoes, they are comfortable on paved sidewalks and roads as well as on rough terrain I encounter on my hiking trails. They are very inexpensive, my other hiking shoes cost 5 times the price of these Ozark Trail shoes. Would recommend these shoes to anyone wanting a smooth, comfortable workout in the great outdoors!

    Comfortable trail shoes
I'm a big guy and picky when it comes to shoes. These was a cheaper alternative I brought with me as a back up pair for trail walking in New Hampshire. They felt great when I tried them on. After a few days of walking me feet didn't hurt. The looked good with jeans and will be my new alternate for back up shoes.

    Comfortable Hiking Shoe
Not only do these Ozark Trail hiking shoes look good, but they are also extremely comfortable. My wife has been wearing them for the last week, not only for our walks, but also to work and says they are the most comfortable shoes she has right now. At their current price of around $20, they are a great value. Will definitely recommend them to others.

these might be better in the winter.
I'm not sure if they are made of rubber or plastic. They didn't come in a box, so I have no info on them. I did wear them on 2 5mile walks my feet didn't hurt but they were hot. the tread on them should be helpful on the ice in winter. They seem to be well-built, but time will tell.

    The Best
These Ozark Trail shoes are awesome. They are probably the best hiking shoes I've ever worn. They are comfortable, great foot cushion, the shoe laces are high quality and the material use to make them is long lasting. I took them to the mountains, beach and sandy desert and they are awesome. I suffer from foot pain due to my flat foot, but these shoes are incredible. I truly recommend for any daily activity.
