Simply Awsome!
If you own any type of .223 AR platform rifle, this is the only scope that should be mounted on it (M-223 3-12x42 SF). Perfect for varmint/predetor hunting. Top quality, simple operation, chrystal clear glass even in low light. I can't say enough positive things about this scope. The folks really hit the nail on the head when they developed this scope. Great job Nikon! Eric

    Great Product!!!

    Accurate, Clear & Easy to Use
    I mounted one of these on my RRA AR-15 about a year ago during the time Nikon was giving you the mount when you purchased the scope. I chose to go with the "Nikoplex" reticle. I would really have preferred a "Mil-Dot" reticle but they didn't offer it in this scope. Mounting and sighting in was very straight forward. I shot 2 rounds at 50 yds. I was about 4" right and 4" low. I adjusted and fired another round which hit dead center. I then backed up to 100yds and fired 2 rounds, made the adjustments fired two more rounds and they hit dead center. That was it. 5 rounds. I haven't backed up to 200 yds, yet. I intended to hunt deer with this rifle using 62grn Sierra Gamekings but I didn't get it done for last fall (2012) so used my 270WSM instead. Hope to use it this fall. I also hunt coyotes with 50-55 grn bullets. I wish they had offered the 4-16x42 when I purchased this but this is really all I need 12x is sufficient. If I want higher I go to my other rifles. This glass is clear. My wife has a Nikon on her 270 and loves it.

    Great glass for the money that has no problems bringing in the center of a 4" sporting clay @ 600 yds. I shoot frequently at 600 yds and always reset my turrets to 100 before leaving the range. The turrets always repeat. The only things that could have been better IMHO are. I would have gladley givien up the ARD for a sushade and instead of a quick zero reset, a push pull turret lock -like on the objective adjustment- would have really put it over the top! I've used mine all winter, on 9 degree days and in freezing rain and it works flawlessly.
