Nice looking but not ideal for reading lamps.
I planned to install these as bedside lamps. They look beautiful, but I didn't realize there's no switch built into the fixture, so they require a separate light switch, which isn't ideal for my space. Also, they are only adjustable up and down (the tilt), but can't rotate at all, so you have to install them at the exact angle you want and can't adjust for reading. And the tilt action is not at all smooth - it feels stiff and cheap. I think these would be perfect for a fixed install, where you don't plan to adjust the angle frequently, and don't mind a regular wall switch. Unfortunately, I'll be returning.
