I have an all black version. I love it. It might not be as easy to read as the standard display, but it suits the blacked out style of the watch.

    Horrible
    This watch is virtually impossible to read under any light Conditions. You have to hold it at the perfect angle to the light to see the Numbers. I can not find any way to adjust the Contrast. I don't understand why a watch would be designed like this. It is practically worthless!!!

    I like it for a summer sports watch........
    I can easily read the face, so I don't know what the others are speaking of. Overall, alot of functionality for an inexpensive watch. Very light.......

    Great Timex quality but too hard to read...
    I have several Timex chronograph sport watches and love them all. They function as advertised and they last forever. I'm sorry to say that THIS watch, however, has one flaw that's pretty hard to dismiss. The photos show a black face with bright, white numerals that appears to be very easy to read. In reality, though, it's very hard to read this watch unless you get the viewing angle just right. If the numbers were the bright white that shows in the promotional photos it would be awesome, but sadly they are not. I gave this watch a "3 star" rating based on the overall quality, but that dark face kept it from getting a perfect score.

    Can not see the time
    I can not see the time during the day. The screen is not good and to hard to see on this watch.
