Our grandson is a lucky birthday boy!
This gift for our 2-year-old grandson's birthday is a huge hit! He loves trains, knows a lot about them, and the play-value in this wonderful set will take him through years to come. Beautifully crafted!

Major flaw in design.
Major flaw in the design of this beautiful wooden train set. You must set many wooden blocks under the elevated tracks and they continue to fall, the entire track falling with them. They are not stable and this was assembled on an even hardwood floor. Took 2.5 hours to put together and it fell apart into the original pieces after 5 minutes of play.

    We love Melissa and Doug products.

    Doesn't stay together.
    Definitely not for 3 year olds. No real directions for assembly. Only pictures with a legend. Tracks need better engineering to stay together. Very little pressure to knock the whole thing down.

    Train Set
    We got this set for our son;s 3rd birthday yesterday! He LOVES trains!! He was SO excited to get this and played with it all night long. The only issue we see with it is that the blocks to stack up to make the ramps aren't as sturdy as we'd like, but other than that it's a GREAT set.

    Wrong item was sent originally but customer service promptly resent the right item. We bought this to put on the Melissa and Doug table. Some of the recommended layouts on the box didn't actually fit on the table so we had to build our own plans. Took some extra time but it still works great.

    Nice sturdy set
    We bought this to go on the melissa and doug table. But we found it hard to built the track layouts as directed by the instructions. It seems to be too big for the table but this is a good problem to have as we have extra pieces to use and build various layouts.
