Serving up Dinner!
My granddaughter received this for her 2nd birthday, and was completely fascinated with it. She helps her mom in the kitchen, and the wooden food will help her learn the food groups. She is currently serving up dinner to her parents!

Paint chipping
We recieved this as a gift and upon taking it out of the package the paint was chipping off the orange completely and the others have cracks and chips in them. I am very disappointed in the product. This could be a hazardous thing for smaller kids if their older brother or sister was playing with it and they got ahold of it. You might want to think about fixing this since other reviews are saying the same thing...

    Melissa and Doug toys are a preferred brand in our home. This four piece set of wooden play food has been a great addition to our daughters play kitchen. The quality and craftsmanship is amazing.

    Great for pretend!
    My 2-year old grandson is very into pretend and loved the play food. He especially liked the milk carton. We drank a lot of pretend milk on Christmas. The food came in four little crates that worked great for clean-up and storage.

    Creative, durable, colorful, long lasting. Our girls really enjoy these. They have had them 3 years now and everything still looks brand new. Awesome quality. Great addition for a playroom for a girl or boy. Learn colors, food groups. Great toy!

    These are a cute, little set... I don't know why, but I thought my son would be less likely to try and eat fake wood food than fake plastic food. I was wrong. Either way, it's cute. I have a tiny kitchen set for him (second-hand) and didn't have anything for it, so these are a nice addition. The crates are nice for storing away when done with play.

    I bought this set for my daughter less than 2 months ago and I can't believe the pain is chipping out. We have so many of your products and I also have them in my classroom so I was shocked to see this happening. Have even warned friends who recently purchased these.

    Really fun, but try to limit abuse
    My girls absolutely love this set, but a couple of the pieces have already starting cracking. They're pretty rough on things and aren't yet 3 years old, so maybe actual 3 year olds wouldnt bang them around as much, but just be aware that they're not indestructible.

    Broken and splinters with less than 8 hours of play.
    My son received this pack of play food for his kitchen for Christmas. With less than 8 hours of play, one of the slices of bread has already broken in half with rough splinters coming out along the broken edges. Thankfully, I saw it happen so he doesn't have any splinters that I can see. This is our second Melissa and Doug toy to have pieces break and splinter without rough play and shortly after being opened.
