Great Colorful Learning toys
This Melissa & Doug 4 Wooden Classic Rainbow Learning toy set has so much quality and thought put into all of the pieces. Great colors on each eye catching piece. Each one teaches dexterity and learning while having a wonderful time. The Caterpillar toy had bases and matching cog wheels that the children can match up and then turn the wheels to make it appear that the worm is moving. The stackable toy teaches sizes and colors while putting them on the post. We all had the little hammer and nail toy when we were younger and it is so nice to share the use of little hands and coordination in pounding each block to the other side. The block teaches shapes and colors alike while making sure you choose the exact shape to fit inside the hole. Wonderful variety pack that will keep the kids learning and playing for hours on end and a very nice wooden set that will last for years.

Good quality wood, vibrant colors
The Melissa & Doug wooden classic rainbow learning toys are made of a good quality wood. The pieces are smooth and a good size for small hands to pick up. Each of the toys is unique and fun to use and I like that each toy actually teaches something. I like how the shape sorting cube has so many different types of shapes that have to fit in the space just so or it won't work. It took a good amount of time for my four year old Grandson to fit all the shapes into the appropriate spaces. The top slides open to release all of the shapes but I found it to be difficult for little hands to open it. He really enjoyed the pound a peg toy. The pieces can be all pounded down and I like how the whole thing can be turned over to start all over again. The box has suggestions on more ways to play with these toys like tracing the gears on the rainbow gears toy to create unique designs. There are endless ways to play with these toys like the rainbow stacker can be stacked in patterns not just from large to small. This product design seems very durable and long lasting, it is easy to use without any instructions needed. It is very appealing with the vibrant colors and it can keep young kids interested.

    We love this set!
    This is a great set! My 18 month old plays with these toys daily. They are well made, colorful and keep our little one entertained for hours. They are by far his favorite, most played with toys and are great for improving motor skills. Very pleased with these as I usually am with Melissa & Doug toys.

    I have had these classic learning toys a few weeks now and my kids love these toys! There are so many ways to play and use these pieces I love asking for a certain color to get them to give me the right piece and help put on the caterpillar, you can trace and take off the pieces of you want and have the kids put on theirselves like a puzzle. The shapes in the box is great for their skills. I love that the pieces are wood and very durable. The toys are great quality and I highly recommend them

    Great set of olorful learning toys !
    This set is a favorite of my kiddos. 4 fun wooden toy sets. My kids are 3, 2 and 11and they all like playing with these. These teach the younger kids with stacking, colors, matching shapes. I love Melissa and Doug toys cause of their safety and durability. These toys are colorful, fun, sturdy, safe and will last. My kids have so much fun with them. This would make a perfect gift idea too! Highly recommend !

    I love the Melissa and Doug wooden toy four pack of toys. I love that none of the toys require batteries and the parts are big enough for a small child or a toddler can play with them. The primary colors are bright and the wood seems durable. Two of my children can play with these toys. My daughter who is an infant is able to start batting at the toys with her hand. My son, who is older, has had a lot of fun playing with the blocks because it requires him to use thinking skills of which is the biggest. Then, he can stack the biggest on bottom and then the smallest on top. He also loves using the hammer to smash the blocks down through the holes. I think every kid would love to hammer toys! This set of four toys together would make a great birthday or Christmas gift. I would recommend this toy because it would be suitable for a variety of ages and kids would enjoy playing with them.

    What baby doesn't need these classic toys?? This set comes with 4 different toys that are all indivially wrapped in plastic inside the box. You get the shape sorter, the gear board, the hammering pegs, and the ring stacker. They are all made of high quality wood and seem like they will hold up through multiple children!

    Staples to learning
    Firstly, Melissa and Doug are awesome products! My daughter has most all this brand and one other among her many toys. My child is 4 so you may be wondering why I would get such a beginners' toy for her. Interestingly, these can be used at Kindergarten level, depending on how you use them and how you promote the child to use them. There are many things to do with them. The box also actually gives you ideas. Such as- the gears on the caterpillar can be taken off to trace and make cool shapes from then draw a picture around that used shape. This is my purpose for getting these. If you know anyone, or you are pregnant/have a very young child, this set should be the first toys introduced to your child. They are so versatile. They teach shapes, colors,.can be used to teach counting as well. After your child can put the tubes on the wobbly base, you can then have them do it backwards, smallest to biggest. I truly think these toys in this set are essential in teaching your child. I highly recommend because they are the best set of these specific toys I have ever seen. (My daughter had another set when younger, these are far better) I included pictures so you can see how bright and interesting these are. Give them a try! Your child will be learning in no time!

    Fun and brightly colored open ended toys for toddl
    First, I'd recommend that you buy these in store rather than having them shipped because the box was crushed upon arrival. It was only shipped in a bag surrounding the box, so that's not terribly surprising, but it's disappointing if you were planning on giving these as a gift, which is usually the case with kids' toys. Each wooden toy comes shrink wrapped to keep all the pieces together and displayed well. The colors are bright and fun. Some of the wood is polished and treated while some feels more rough like raw wood. The shape sorting cube comes with 12 shapes, with matching holes covering 4 sides. One side slides in and out to remove the blocks and store them when not in use. The gear toy promotes skills including matching colors, matching design (the waves of one gear and the next need to match up), and fine motor skills to remove and replace the gear and twist them. The gears are made of plastic, not wood, though the base is made of wood. The ball on the top of the stacking tower is easily removable and isn't meant to secure the rings in place. The rings are symmetrical and can be placed on either direction for the same cascading effect. The wooden pegs are secured in their holes using clear bumpers, most likely to keep the paint from scratching off. It can be flipped over to hit them in again. I prefer open ended toys for my kids to encourage engagement and creativity so the toy can grow with them, and for the most part these toys fit that criteria. You can roll the rings or pegs down a ramp, or line them up and name them, or stack the blocks in a tower. I think this toy set is a great learning option for kids!

    What can I say? These toys are amazing for the kids. They just love playing with them, fitting the pieces together to the applause of their parents, aunts, and grandparents. These are toys that the kids want to continually use and I highly recommend them.
