    User error?
Possibly user error but We cant see any stars or even the moon no matter what we do Its all blurry. I still gave it three stars because it works well during the day and everything is super clear and we can zoom into trees from far away and see all the details. The kids enjoy watching birds and insects from far away.

I couldn't even see the moon
I tried really hard to make this telescope work. I live in the country, where I have essentially zero light pollution. But I couldn't even see the moon through this thing. Seriously, the moon. When it was full. All I got was black. I tried so many different locations in my yard and read up on all these techniques to try. Still nothing. I contemplated buying a new eye piece but I thought that if I was going to use another $30 to try to make this one work, I may as well just buy one that actually works. I'm very disappointed. I also very surprised I'm still within the return window. Buy at your own risk. If you do buy one, I hope you don't get the one I'm returning.

    Beginners
We have used it once snd have not figured out how to zoom in real good. The object appears a little bigger but not much.

    Wont assemble right
I bought this for my son for his birthday, he was really excited to have got it, but when we put it together, the H20mm eyepieces wont assemble and attach to the mirror piece. I believe we where sent the wrong pieces for it. So now my son is very upset that it wont work.

Mount lock knob does not lock
It's a good beginner's telescope. According to the instructions, the Alt-azimuth mount can be locked only in altitude by tightening the optical-tube-to-mount locking knob. The only problem, which is pretty major for me, is that the mount does not lock! Hence, it is difficult to keep it steady and watch the cosmos. It keeps on flipping up and down. I'm not sure if this defect is just for me or for everyone. I tried calling Meade Instruments customer care but due to covid19, they're temporarily closed. I would still recommend this telescope for beginners, given that the mount actually locks.
