Sleek and Comfortable
I received this Mainstays Memory Foam Futon, Black Suede Fabric, 72 inch to try, use and review. On arrival it was packaged well. It weighs about the 70-75 lbs. So it is fairly easy to handle. I opened the package and started the assembly which is fairy simple once I found the legs for it. They were tied to the bottom of the Futon with zip ties. They just screw on and there you go. The look and feel of this unit is to me, really fantastic. The texture is very nice and the sitting comfort is firm but very comfortable. I do wish it had a pull out feature to sleep on but I have it in the Man Cave so I don't really need the bed right now. It fits in very well and as stated is very comfortable. The cushions are firm, almost hard but are not too hard. This is nice to not bog up in them as some I have tried out. The black suede color is very nice as well. It seems to blend with most any decor you might have. The feel to the touch is smooth and nice. Not sure how it will resist staining or how well it will hold up to use, but I think it may hold up pretty well. Time will tell. All in all I think if you are looking for a plain Futon without sleeping functions, this is the one. I hope this review helps someone in making a purchase decision.

Uncomfortable and broke within 2-3 months of use.
It works.. it does the function of being a place to sit down. It's terrible for sleeping, middle part of futon is extremely hard. The actual padding of memory foam is extremely thin. One of the sides of the futon that folds open already broke and I have had it for 2-3 months. It's mainly used to watch tv, not to even sleep and it still broke.

    decent for the price
    product came and the most difficult part of setting it up was getting it out of the box. after that it was easy to get the legs on a flip over. others have said its smaller than they expected but this fits perfectly in the space i needed it for and it wjll serve its purpose when we have a guest here soon. ive taken a few naps on it now and its comfy to sleep on even in the couch position. Granted i am pnly 5'1 so this works perfectly for me, but even my 6ft husband laid on it while it was reclined into the "bed" and said as far as futons go its good.

    Purchased this futon for my office space. It was prefect. I planned initially for a couch but didn't want the couch prices. Ordered this on a Friday afternoon, it came on Sunday evening- fast shipping! My husband, daughter and her friend have napped on it and all say it was comfy. So far, I'd say that I would recommend.

    its perfect for me its better then my floor and a 6 year old mat i like that it has the arms and i am glad to have it im not a complainer in a 280 pound woman and it dont move squeek or anything not damaged its firm yes not as fluffy as phots but its will get better or just buy a mat thing for it and its fine trust me its worth it a bit and will atleastast untill you get something vetter just take care of it

    Perfect futon for kids or low use areas
    I guess i was one of the lucky ones because my package arrived without any damage. My 11yo son loves it. We replaced his old futon with this one and it is perfect for his space. Don't expect the highest quality but for the price, its a tremendous value.

    A lot better than I expected!
    I brought this cheap couch from Walmart for my small 2 bedroom apartment, and I have to say, I thought it was going to be a piece of junk, but to my surprise it's a solid piece of furniture! The leather is most likely fake, but it smells like actual leather and feels good too. The assembly process should have been a piece of cake but it took longer than an hour due to the fact that some of the screws for the legs wouldn't properly fit in the holes, and it was very frustrating having to have the 2 sides of the couch close together to bolt them together… Other than that I'd say all that frustration was well worth it, and the price, you really can't beat it! I'd say it's good for a college student that needs a place to stay at their parents house for when they come over for vacation, or that one guest you wouldn't want in your bed, at least this couch does turn into a full bed which is pretty sweet!

    I love it. I put it in my son's room. Since his room is kind of big I needed something to make it look full in there lol. it's perfect. ANDDDD… IT WAS VERY EASY TO ASSEMBLE.

    Looks good in my living room, nice and comfy for the price and adjustable back and arms which is nice for different supports. Just be sure to lock the back into place and don't scruff your wall like I did ?

    It was easy to assemble and isn't terrible looking for the price. Hardest part about assembly was getting the heavy box inside. I bought it for a tiny apartment and I'm pretty happy with it. It's not very comfortable, but some throws should help. I didn't expect it to be super comfy given the price point but it's still soft enough to serve as a basic couch.

    Honestly for the price point the quality is great! It is exactly as expected as long as you keep in mind that its at this price point and brand new. If you're looking for something more comfortable or a bed I would invest much more money. But if you have a tight budget like myself and are looking for a living room/guest bed futon this is your pick.
