Max organization purposes.
Not extreamly sturdy, but for the price they still exceeded my expectations. Very pleased with my purchase, and I am excited to get my home more organized, and put together. I appreciate that they are clear , as I can see what the heck I'm looking for if they are stacked in my closets.

The plastic is thin and not durable.
Mainstays 5 Quart Shoe Box Storage, Clear, 20 Pack seemed to me a awesome way to store my shoes. I was excited to try this product because I do have a lot of shoes, sneakers, sandals, slippers, ect.. When I placed the very first pair of shoes in one of the containers I immediately notice the thinness of the plastic. After the shoes were inside the container I then saw that the storage box does not lock into place. No matter what shoe I put in the top does snap tight in place like it should. I wanted these storage boxes for shoes but I will be using them to store other items that don't need a tight seal for storage.I really don't see these boxes lasting though because they don't appear to be durable. Because of the quality of these shoe storage boxes I can not recommend them for storing shoes.

    Far from “snap tight,” Mainstay! Your description is very much a lie! These cheap, thin boxes are just enough to get things put away and more than enough to make me mad that I spend $20 on these little bins that I have to keep pressing the top on. I'm stuck between “they get the job done and just go spend the money and get what you need to be content….” Eventually, they will need to be replaced. So mad I got tricked into buying this thrifty hack.

    You get what you pay for
    I just received my delivery open the box and the first container I pulled out was cracked. The plastic is not as durable as I anticipated. Overall it's okay

    Good for light weighted materials
    I got these to organize my bathroom linen. The boxes are pretty flimsy (not structurally strong). So... if you have heavier items to organize, I would recommend getting something a little stronger. My closet looks pretty though, lol.

    good little containers. i knew they were shoebox size but i was a little surprised they were that little. made organizing a breeze and good deal for 20 of them! fit all my kids figets in one box, which is alot! holds slightly less clothes then i thought but still very happy with my purchase! i fit 3 dresses in one. and 4 to 5 legging in each box too.

    Excellent lightweight storage!
    These are wonderful! They are very clear. The bottom is wider than other options giving them much more usable space. They are very lightweight and perfect for storing fabric and small, light objects. They would not be good for heavier storage. Using them for fabric storage for my embroidery business, I am in and out of them often, so I LOVE how light they are.

    I'd buy it again.
    Thinner plastic than I would have liked, but it's fine for storing my size 10 shoes. Booties and platforms are too large for the 5 quart box. I do enjoy my shoes being stored and stacked in an orderly fashion. I'd buy this again.

    Very Flimsy; but does the job for the price, and I did buy them for the price!! 2 containers and lids were broke but Im too lazy to take it back. Did not have to put anything together which was another yes for me!

    Great for Storage
    These are great containers. They aren't air-tight, but I didn't need them to be. They stack great and the plastic is nice and clear. Other reviews mentioned breakage when their containers arrived but, mine were intact. They came double boxed, so I'm assuming Walmart listened to those reviews and fixed the problem.

    Great bins with many uses
    I used these bins to organize my sewing room. I first bought 3 boxes and then had to buy a 4th. It makes it so much easier to see what is in each bin since they are totally clear. I do not need the lids to lock in place, just mostly so they will stack on top of each other. Should also be good for shoes.
