I love these recycled plastic dinnerware dishes. My young son is learning to load/unload the dishwasher and these dishes truly are durable, dishwasher safe, and functional. The high edges on the plates are ideal for keeping food on the plate, the bowls are just the right size for healthy portions, the cups sit stabley on the tables, and the utensils come in handy for packing lunches. I no longer have to disposable plastic ware. The large mixing/storage bowls have lids that keep food tightly sealed.

great for kids
I have three small children and finding dishes and silverware that works can be a pain. I decided to try the plastic dinnerware set to see how the kids liked it. If a piece is being washed I am able to grab from their other set. The bowls are a great size for fruit or even a bowl of cereal. The cups are smaller which makes me feel comfortable allowing them my youngest to have the same cup as his siblings because I know there isn't much to spill. I am really pleased with this.It looks really nice. It's easy to clean. BPA free it claims. You can microwave it. This is perfect for the little ones trying to learn to eat on their own and play don't break if they're drawed which is really nice the Cubs won't drop it's good for portion sides. They come clean very easily with soap and water and are dishwasher safe as well, like most plastics though they don't fully dry in the dishwasher and require to be towel dried.

    This was a great addition for our family's casual dining experience. This 28 piece came in a combo pack of 4 different colors. The plastic was sturdy and easy to use and clean. The variety of plates, bowl, cups, utensils and 6 piece storage containers was a blessing to have for those unexpected visitors or need for extra dishes. The dishes are stackable, which made them easy to store. This would make for a great house warming gift or extra service for those casual dining experience. Definitely a good buy.

    I really like this set! It is made of very sturdy plastic, it's very durable, and I love the colors too. The utensils are also well made. They are really easy to clean, and don't discolor with food like some other plastics do. It does say they are dishwasher safe, but I would recommend they be hand washed to prevent fading and weakening of the plastic. My favorite part about the set are mixing bowls that come with it, as they are excellent for salads or mixing ingredients. They come with lids as well for easy refrigerator storing. It comes in multi-colors, which is nice too. Overall, our family really likes this set. You can heat things up in the microwave with them(but don't cook things in them). The cups are also great!

    Great for Outdoors
    I ordered the Mainstays 28-Piece Eco-Friendly Recycled Plastic Dinnerware Set because I wanted dinnerware that could be used outdoors. This is perfect to use for eating outdoors. I like this set because it is plastic but firm and not flimsy like some other plastic dinnerware. This set is made to last. It has service in multiple colors like white, turquoise, and black. It even comes with plastic knives, forks, and spoons to match. This set is great to use for barbecues or any outdoor eating events. It is an added bonus that it is made from recycled plastic, too. I would recommend this dinnerware set especially if you need something for outside use.

    Casual Dinnerware, large set with extras
    If you need an occasional picnic or luncheon set this is perfect. Comes with extra pieces like the covered bowls and matching plastic utensils. Some pieces are not really ideal for everyday use for these reasons: There is no information on the actual items that advises about microwave or dishwasher use. There was a small label on the wrapper that states top rack dishwasher use and reheat only in microwave. Since my older grandkids only know how to heat on high in the microwave, I wouldn't trust them to use to heat. As for the dishwasher, the utensils tend to mildly warp as well as the cup rims even in the top rack. There really isn't room to place the serving bowls or the plates in the top rack so they would need to be hand washed. The positves are 28 pieces is a lot of bang for your bucks. The colors are attractive with light speckling. Label states they are BPA free and made from recycled plastic bottles which is a plus for the environment. I like how the tray-like plates have a rim. Really cuts down on spillage with small kids. This is a good deal if the precautions don't bother you.

    It is durable and easy to clean by hand or in the dishwasher. The only downside is that the cups and some bowls are a bit too big. The color is elegant and stackable. I use them with kids for the most part because they don't crack as easy if you accidentally drop them.

    This is such a wonderful dinnerware set. It looks so stylish and has nice colors. I love that it comes with a large and medium serve bowl with lids which can be nested for easy and compact storage. The lids come in very handy to keep your food fresh. The lids seal tight and are easy to open and close. I also like the big tumblers, the 4 dinner bowls, 4 big dinner plates and 12 pieces of cutlery. The whole set is dishwasher and microwave safe and BPA free. The pieces are lightweight but very sturdy and are great for using at home with the kids and would be excellent for camping. This is a perfect versatile set for entertaining guests, preparing food and for food storage. Highly recommend this set!

    I love this set. First, it looks really nice. Second, it's pretty break-resistant (which is great when you have kids or when you are super clumsy yourself!) I also LOVE that it's dishwasher safe. The set comes with everything you need, so it can be used at home or when camping! I'm very happy with this set.
