Mainstays 0.7 cu ft microwave oven
I like microwave ovens. I and my spouse together have three of them – a 2.0 cu ft high-end microwave oven for our house bought 1n 2008, a 0.7 cu ft microwave my wife bought from WalMart five years ago for my oldest daughter’s college dorm, and now this 0.7 cu ft one from Mainstays for my younger daughter. These smaller 0.7 cu ft microwaves are perfect for college dorms, tiny houses, rental rooms, and singles or couples who don’t tend to cook fancy or much. But be assured, these smaller microwave ovens are fully capable of fancy cooking with pre-programmed settings. In fact, I cook almost all of my meals in the microwave. My wife favors the gas range and oven, but usually heats her coffee and hot drinks in the microwave. This Mainstays product comes in three colors—all white, all black, or black with a red bezel. I have the black with red bezel. Pretty much all microwave ovens sold in the US are designed alike – because they are regulated by the federal government standards. The main differences being in the controls and how the door opens. I prefer a door the pulls open, but Mainstays has a door that pushes (a button) to open. The controls are all digital, consisting of timer, pre-programmed settings, power settings, and a numerical pad. There are a few less pre-programmed settings on the 0.7 cu ft microwave ovens than my 2 cu ft one, but I don’t tend use the pre-programmed settings. It used to be that microwave ovens were not good a browning the surface of meats and crusts, but that seems to solved with how the foods are packaged. Today for many people microwave ovens may be all they ever need for cooking a meal. And Mainstays 0.7 cu ft microwave oven is a good choice.

Worst Microwave Period. Don't Waste Your Money.
Worst microwave ever. Very weak heating power. It does not heat efficiently at all. The popcorn setting is not accurate. It won't pop a whole bag of popcorn without burning it. Even with setting my own timing this microwave won't pop the popcorn bag even halfway without burning the popcorn really badly leaving half the kernels in the bag. It burnt one bag and even burnt the inside of the microwave. Waste of money. Looks nice in red trim and black, but isn't worth the $55 plus tax I spent.

    I was looking for a microwave for my mom so when I got the opportunity to try The Mainstays 0.7 Cu ft capacity, Countertop Microwave Oven, Red I jumped at the opportunity. My mom was recently ill and had to move into my house. Unfortunately the back house I had built is very simple and small. The Mainstays 0.7 Cu ft capacity, Countertop Microwave Oven is perfect with its sleek modern design it will match most kitchen design styles. It fits in my mom's new small kitchen with no problem. It's easy to use. And it's just the right size and power for all my mom's needs. I absolutely recommend this product to everyone who needs a powerful microwave for a small space.

    Space saver without compromising efficiency & look
    If you want something that looks good, efficient, doesn't waste counter space, then this is your microwave. The largest thing I've used inside was a large dinner plate, and it fit perfectly without a lot of wasted space as a lot of other microwaves have around the turn table inside but not this one. Power is strong and efficient, I'm very satisfied. I want my kitchen to look nice, clean, and no clutter. This is perfect. Inside has a glass turn table that allows food to warm evenly. Has pre-programmed buttons popcorn, beverage, potato, Frozen dinner in addition to kitchen timer, defrost and weight defrost buttons, in addition to standard manual number pad.. It's nice.

    Love the size.
    I'm so glad we got this microwave. We have very little space on our kitchen counter. This microwave fits perfect. We only use a microwave for melting, defrosting and warming up food. We used to have a huge microwave which we didn't need for 2 people. I was concerned at first because I couldn't figure out how to use just seconds for the time . I just touch time cook and the number of seconds you want. I love how quiet it is. It has a turn table which turns the food while cooking. I love this feature as well as all the other cook buttons . You can't beat the quality for the price. My microwave is trimmed in red and just beautiful. It makes my kitchen pop with the red color and I love it. It is so stylish. It is very roomy to be small. I would recommend this microwave for the functions that it has. I have told most of my friends because they are dealing with very little counter space as well. I suggest if you want a small microwave you might consider this one. I don't think you can go wrong.

    Mainstays 0.7 Cu ft Microwave Works Fine
    Reviewing: Mainstays 0.7 Cu ft capacity Countertop Microwave Oven, White The microwave shipped in a sturdy box, packed securely with styrofoam and well taped, arriving in excellent condition. Its design is plain white and not at all different from previous Mainstays small countertop microwaves that I have purchased. From previous experience with this brand and category of product, I expect to get a few years out of it before having to replace it. I accept this aspect of appliance ownership as repairing microwaves makes less sense than repairing a larger appliance such as a washer, dryer, or refrigerator. Let’s face it, microwave cost is much lower than service calls when it comes to low-tier microwaves. Others may choose to invest more in such an appliance but this kind of product does not warrant more expenditure than the selling price of this particular product as virtually all microwaves (except for the rare bad ones) generally function the same as all others for my purposes. Since I’m not a professional chef, I have no vested interest in paying more than $75 for a new microwave. The Mainstays microwave oven’s main appeal to me is its size. Because of its small footprint, I have many options for saving space on my counter top. Also I am able to fit it into the limited size allotted for microwaves in the shelf above my pantry. My experience with the Mainstays brand has been generally satisfying and of good value in the long term so that is the primary reason why I selected this particular microwave oven.

    Perfect dorm size microwave
    Mainstays small but mighty 0.7 cu microwave. It's perfect for beginners starting out, in dorm or garage setting. It's light weight and takes up minimal space. They have multiple colors however I got the black to match other kitchen decor. The LED displays the cooking and time bright. It comes with 1 year warranty. It has 10 power levels, 6 quick set menu options and 30 second express cooking option. The buttons are all self explainatory and easy to press. It's best for smaller quick heat up meal options. It serves all the functions of a larger microwave just in a more compact size. It would also be handy for single person household. In all its a nice clean microwave that will conveniently serve your needs.

    Just okay
    This Mainstays countertop microwave is good for minimal usage. Not so much for your everyday kitchen. It is only 700 watts. I originally was interested to replace my kitchen microwave but upon arrival and I noticed the 700 watts, I instead opted to use as a heat source in my classroom. Does the job, easy to clean, etc.

    Small but functional microwave. My teenage son confiscated this to put in his room for frozen dinners and to reheat tacos. It sits nicely on top of his mini fridge and for what he uses it for, this serves its purpose. This tiny machine is definitely not built for a whole family use but if you are a single person or limited on space, this is the perfect item. Red is a fun color and seems to hold up well as even though the box arrived heavily damaged, the microwave was in perfect shape with no scratches or dings to the red finish. Control panel is super easy to use and self explanatory. As with most microwaves, don't bother with the popcorn button unless you want a burned and smelly heartbreak but the unit makes a killer midnight baked potato. Also, great for reheating coffee.

    Great microwave for an apartment or tiny house!
    This Mainstays microwave is a great little microwave! It's a perfect size for a small kitchen- prefect for apartment, dorm room, break room, waiting room, tiny house, or even a camper! I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for one for a small space. Easy to use, works great. Would not be good for a large family with a large kitchen- unless maybe as a secondary microwave? But great product overall! Almost forgot- it even has a turntable for even cooking! Removable for easy to clean. Definitely recommend!

    Perfect Size for Small Spaces
    This 0.7 cu.ft. Microwave Oven is the perect size for small nooks and crannies. This is perect for a tiny home, a camper, or a travel trailer. Very easy, just unpack, add the roller ring and glass tray, plyg it in and you are ready to go. The control panel is very simple and easy to figure out. I think this would be awesome for a dorm room, and I love the red color!
