I give this to my dogs for obvious health reasons, but also kills and repels fleas and ticks without the use of harsh chemicals. And, it's non-hydrodgenated. Good for dry, flaky, itchy skin, on people AND pups! This item gets a big thumbs up from this pet lover.

I have used coconut oil for many things and this brand in particular is disgusting and does not come close to copare vs. leading brands. I do not recommend.

    My favorite cooking oil
    I use this primarily to saute salmon. It has a beautiful, subtle flavor, slightly sweet, but does not remind you of coconuts! It has a high heat temperature for cooking. Everything I've cooked in coconut oil has turned out perfectly with great flavor ~ and it's a healthy fat!

    Easy hard shell topping at home
    This turns any flavor I can melt into hard shell topping. Semi Sweet or milk chocolate or any other brand candy I chose to make hard shell topping out of. Wow. It was a real hit. I used the semi sweet morsels from Walmart brand and it was quick and easy to make. I substituted coconut oil instead of butter and made a batch of chocolate no bake cookies. Everyone loved them.

    Best Coconut oil I have found
    Not only does this have no coconut taste so it can be a healthy oil for all cooking, but it is the least expensive on the market. I am a bit disappointed that it is only 14 oz. I have gotten a 32 oz. bottle in-store at Walmart in the past.

    Not Just For Cooking
    I use coconut oil for my hair, it's frizzy and unmanageable. Put it on at night, cover head with night cap or scarf. In the morning, it's beautiful. Using this for cooking, or baking, is superb. Nothing turns out lighter in texture and there is no after flavor (unless the oil goes rancid.) I tried this with my Amish starter and made some of the best tasting tarts and scones- light, airy and delicious. Now, wish I could get my husband to eating nuts- I like them in my breads and cookies- he hates them. I was always told, "Life is not a popularity contest." So, I cook two different ways.

    What more is there to say. This the best value around for 100% coconut oil. It shipped very fast, great quality and great product. It's food-grade but I just use it on my skin and hair.

    Lou Ana Coconut Oil
    This coconut oil is a good value, affordable and quality make this one of my favorite for the many applications I use it for. I use a drop in my coffee in the mornings for health, I give a little to my dogs mixed in food for their health as well and I even use a little as a skin softener. It offers many uses and applications in my daily life.

    Use this as moisturizer
    While I haven't used this for cooking, I do use it after my shower to moisturize my legs. It works. Word of warning though, let it soak in before you put on your pants... I ruined a pair of khakis by not waiting.
