Great keyboard, painful purchasing process
Was considering getting a mechanical keyboard but opted against due to noise; this one works like a charm! This item was on sale online but in-store they would not honor the sale. I literally had to order the item online for in-store pickup, do some other shopping while they moved it around the store for hours, and then pick it up. At that point they tried to give me the wrong keyboard! All in all it was worth it for the deal, and a great keyboard, but hopefully you have a better purchasing experience than I did!

A good investment
I had a Dynex keyboard for over 3 years & was not meant to be used for gaming. Sadly this keyboard is not mechanical but is still good for gaming. I got it on sale for $39.99 & I would not pay more then that. This keyboard is nice with illuminated keys, I would say the color is between purple & blue. If you download the Logitech software you can program the 6 G keys on the left. You cannot change the illuminated key color only brighten it or turn it off. I would recommend buying this keyboard if it is on sale. It can be used for both office work & gaming since it is easy to get used to.

    Replacement for older keyboard
    My first impression was that it was malfunctioning the same as my older keyboard, but i found out after some frustration that it was an id10t error. Both my older keyboard and this new one work flawlessly. I like the programable keys, which is why i use this type of Kb. I do not use this kb for gaming, so i cannot speak to that issue.

    Fantastic keyboard. Illuminated keys make it easier for my eyes to see them as age takes over in my sight. Just have to adjust to where the location of keys are compared to my old keyboard. Extra keys make a difference in key location. Otherwise it's perfect for my gaming use and overall use. Highly recommended. :)

    Love the keyboard it works great and love the fact that it lights up. I have only 3 complaints. The keyboard is a little taller than a standard keyboard, is a bit tough getting used to but it works as expected. The keys are a little stiffer than my old keyboard. It takes some force to make sure you hit the key. There are 6 extra keys going down the left side of the keyboard that are programmable. It is nice to have them there and convenient for gaming. I am finding myself drawn to them though thinking they are the left edge of the QWERTY keyboard and find myself hitting the wrong keys at time. Now what I love.... It lights up, it is great for typing in dark situations. It has a switch to turn the lighted keys on or off. it is very very sturdy, think you could drop just about anything on this thing and it would laugh at you. Can put the keyboard into gaming mode to disable the windows key. Hate when I am gaming and accidentally hit the windows button and screw up the whole game. Has color coded keys for your gaming directional buttons (W, A, S, D) and your arrow keys. All in all a great product and works as advertised. My little problems with it are mostly personal and will just take some getting used to.

    Great gaming keyboard
    This keyboard is great. I have been a Logitech user for many years and just upgraded from a basic keyboard to this G105 gaming model. The macro buttons are great and easy to assign and use. And the windows lockout key that disables the windows button from working is great too. I have accidentally hit that button before with my palm, so it's definitely a plus. Other than that, it has the same quality I have come to expect of a Logitech product and will get another one to have a backup.
