Very durable. Keeps ice!
I've had this cooler for 2 years now. Still keeps ice for days. Recently became even more impressed. Went riding on the side by side and had it ratchet strapped in the back. Apparently a bump I hit sent the cooler flying. Found the cooler on the rocky trail and it was still together perfect and kept closed tight. Couple scratches but it's still great!

I used this cooler ONE TIME to go to the beach. I transported it in an air conditioned car and kept it out of the sun and in an air conditioned house. Somehow, some way, the main body of the cooler warped slightly and it no longer seals like it should. Im telling you, this cooler was not abused in any way. In fact, when you look at how it is warped, there is no way this could have been caused by anything but a manufacturer's defect. Now, its an overpriced storage bin. Whatever company rates this against bears is lying. My cooler couldn't handle a five hour trip in a Honda Pilot.

The ice stayed in it for the full 10 days we were camping. 10 days after we came home, and the ice was melted, it was still cold, I mean cold enough to drink on a 90 degree day. I'm glad we finally spent the money and got a GOOD cooler. Worth every penny spent.Martha

I'm even more impressed with the sturdiness of this cooler, my garage collapsed and at least 400lbs of stuff landed on top of the cooler and it was completely unphased; it actually knocked a hole thru the wood.Kris

The only drawback is that it is heavy. Fully loaded, it takes two people to lift it, but it is worth it. We like it better than a Yeti, and it is significantly cheaper!ALICE

I think it was due to the top of the cooler warping up at each of the corners. The cooler is heavy which is both good and bad. Hauling it on and off of a boat can be cumbersome and best done empty. That makes it a bit of a pain when arriving home with a cooler of fish or drinks as everything needs to be unloaded from the cooler first before pulling it off the boat. The advantage of the weight though means it's more stable when underway and does not move as much. Initially it kept ice for quite a while, but now that the lid is warped, the seal is not complete and the ice melts much quicker. I called customer support who were very helpful with suggestions and also have new latches on the way. If I was rating on customer support this review would be 5 stars. I'm not sure I could recommend this cooler for others as I'm not sure 'LifeTime' will be much longer than a normal coleman cooler that are less pricey and are lighter to move on and off the boat.KenP

The latches operate easily...don't have to muscle it open, yet it stays secure in the meantime. The "feet" on the bottom keep it from sliding around in transit. Keeps ice as well as any I've ever had, and I didn't have to pay gold for it. I've had it for over 3 years now and the only reason I've needed any customer service so far, is my10Bub59

Each time ice was still in the cooler after a Florida summer day (92 degrees and 85 percent humidity). One latch broke which renders the cooler almost useless. Stated the warranty process to replace and Lifetime wanted a receipt which I couldn't produce because this was a quick Walmart purchase before a Birthday party, and it was promptly lost. However, to my surprise Lifetime accepted the pictures and sent me new replacement latches. So far Very good. I would recommend this cooler based on cost performance. Yes, I paid for the cooler. No, it wasn't a gift.Matt
