Strange can of 100% Pumpkin
I buy this pumpkin every week for my dogs. They are older dogs with tummy issues. The last can I opened had a very different consistency. It was like custard in the can. I did not think much of it but one of my dogs now won't eat and the other one had some tummy issues. I opened up another can and it looked normal and plupy like it always has in the past. What's up with the custard one? A little concerned about the weird custard pumpkin although, it did not smell strange. See photos

Expired canned food
I purchased the canned food and got home only to see it was expired! Sad to see the shelves must not be cleaned as often as I would have thought. Normally wouldn't post a complaint but this is the 2nd time purchasing an item at Walmart that was expired! Not good!

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser04/21/2023Not a great comment on your delivery people. This delivery contained just 3 cans of pumpkin puree. The bag that held the cans was torn and one of the cans lay separately on the cement porch. Two of the cans were dented so badly that they are unusable. One of the three cans is OK, however, I need a refund for two of them, or else reship them immediately.Julia

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser03/31/2023Use it all year long! This is a staple in my kitchen. Of course, it's perfect for fall when baking pumpkin pie and pumpkin bread! I love the jumbo cans and have never been disappointed with the taste or consistency. The rest of the year, I use this for dog food and in some of my favorite sauce and soup recipes. It's great!Unknown

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser11/24/2021Misprinted LabelBought in North Carolina, there was a miss print on the label with the instructions for one pie not two. Very disappointed as we made the pie totally wrong and now it won't be what we were normally used to. Just putting it out there for other who may have bought this same misprinted can!Dane2707

3.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser07/07/2021Badly damaged cans receivedI don't want to give the pumpkin a low rating because it is fine in itself, however I would like to report that the six cans all came badly damaged. It could only have happened if they were thrown hard into the box and hit each other with a force. I am exchanging them for undamaged cans at my local Walmart.Roscoe

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser08/29/2020*Wah, wah, waaaaah* how disappointing!!My daughter wanted to make pumpkin bread, soni picked up 2 29 oz cans ( Libby's, it is rather irritating that the can people want to double a recipe without buying 2 cans at a higher cost is not actually double the puree.....* Raps fingernails on counter). I thought to myself, I wonder how cranberry and pumpkin go together while getting the eggs. I googled it and huzzah! It's a thing! Making a double recipe now, and having frozen cranberries on hand, I can make one loaf with and one without to try this! Then somehow my screen moved to the puree screen, and lo, 2 stars for the puree I and my mother have used forever ( no pie mix here!)??? I read and discover issues with grit. I look at how recent, ew, pretty recent... I look at my can... I open it having decided to feel the puree, and as soon as I see inside I'm filled with disappointed. There, right on top, are a few dark dots. I rub them between my fingers.... Yup, those aren't supposed to be there, and don't feel like they'd make for very good mouth feel... Libby's, two 29 oz cans, and money wasted.... Very saddened. I guess it's just banana bread this week. Thanks for the heads up bakers!!MsMallo

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser11/19/2018BIG Problems with Quality this yearDear Libby's, We have been using your 29 ounce cans for our annual Thanksgiving fundraiser bake for a decade and make hundreds of pumpkin cranberry loaves and pumpkin pies every year. Our patrons counts on our pumpkin-based products to be excellent. This year we were extremely disappointed. Many of the cans we opened had a strange color and texture, and there was a small dark brown dot on the inner top of the can, as though the pumpkin has shrunk away too far in canning. We had to discard many cans and purchase new cans; some were OK, some were not. Some had expiration dates of October 2019, some November 2019 and when we replaced the pumpkin we bought from a different store just to make sure it wasn't an aberration. At first we thought, "it must be us", but then I looked here at other comments and realized that there have been many issues this year. We are really disappointed that the brand we trust (Libby's) did not do the essential quality control on its end. We would like to know how we can ensure quality moving forward. We generally love the consistency of Libby's product, which is why this was extra surprising.Adeena Sussman
