Best heater I have ever owned!
Best heater I've bought in years! We live in an older 1983 mobile home so there are plenty of drafts and the installation is outdated. I have a propane heater in my living room to heat the hall, livingroom and kitchen which is 600+ sq feet. On a 45° day or night this little heater keeps it no lower than 65° in the house and can keep it up to 70° if I choose. The past week it has been in the 20's @ night so I have used my propane heater on lowest setting and it still keeps it the same temp. We like the first one so much we got a second heater for our bedroom which has no other heat source. I have bought radiator heaters and other ceramic heaters made for large rooms with prices starting @ $65-$125 and this heater surpasses all of them.

I researched and read the reviews regarding the heater. I understood it would smell when using for the 1st time. However, even with the doors open, you couldn't be in the room. However, my main concern was the temperature of the unit itself. It was so hot to the touch, it was dangerous, especially with a baby in the house. I previously had a cheaper heater that did not get hot at all to the touch. This unit was more expensive and with a remote. However, I returned the heater because it was dangerously hot to the touch.

I bought my heater a year ago and it went out today. It was great while it lasted but now that I need it for a cold frost that's coming through it went out. If you buy one please get the protection plan so you want waste money.

    Good heater
I received this heater a few days ago it it has been working really well. I love the Lasko heating brand and I had another before this one. Out of the two I had this one is my favorite. In my experience it warms up whatever room it is in and the previous one I had before didn't feel like it did. I will recommend it to others if they ask.

Great size works great. I love the remote control option. Heat the room all night. I use it in my large living room it heats it well all night so worth the money. Plus I added the two year protection plan so I'm very comfortable in this investment.

    Great Practical Space Heater
Great heater for the price. I bought this to heat about a 250-350sqft area in my basement and I’m impressed. I first bought a Mainstays radiant heater that kept shutting off after only 5 minutes of running. I took that heater back and exchanged it for this one. Its sleek and quiet. Puts off great heat and heats the entire area that I needed it for. The oscillating feature is great as the fan is powerful enough to get the job done. I highly recommend this heater for a mid size room.

    So far so good.
This heater replaces an oil based radiator type heater. The area it must heat is poorly insulated and drafty. For those reasons, I thought the tower heater might be more efficient than the radiator heater. The radiator heater works best in well insulated environments. The tower heater uses more energy because it uses a fan and oscillator to move heat. The radiator is passive in this regard and relies on heated air to supply heat transfer. Now, while the tower heater uses more energy when operating, it doesn't operate as long as the radiator type to maintain a set temperature. The tower heater hasn't been in use long enough to determine if it will be more or less expensive to run than the radiator heater. If it doesn't cost more to run than the radiator heater, I would have to raise its rating to a "5." I appreciate its low heat setting of "60 F" for night use. The remote control is a nice touch and the unit is quiet. There is, of course, some noise from the fan, but , it is really unobtrusive. It's hard to hear from 6 feet away.

    meets my needs
purchased this for my sister who lives in Senior Housing and has to pay for her own heat. This product will not only keep her warm during cold days, but help keep her electric heat bill down. Social Security only goes so far and this item should help save some money.

Good heat, but the temp control did not work
This heater definitely puts out good heat. My HVAC went out so I used this at night in my bedroom, which is approximately 15'x13'. It definitely warmed up my room; too much, in fact. You have the option for maximum heat or low heat. In Maximum heat only, you can select different temp setting in 5 deg intervals, i.e. 60, 65, 70, 75, 80 deg. I would set my unit on 70 thinking the heater would shut off when the room reached that temp. But my unit stayed on all night. (You could also set a timer so the unit shuts off after a certain number of hours.) For me, the temp control was key and it did not work. Fortunately, it does have a remote so when it got too toasty in the room, I could turn it off with the remote. (You just have to know where the buttons are located in the dark because there is no back-light on the remote. So PRO: It puts out great heat CON: Could not get the temp control to work on my unit so it runs non-stop. I'm thinking I just got a "lemon." If the temp control works, I would definitely recommend this unit.
