My First BluRay Player . . .
This is a great LG product. It has some great settings and it really does make the regular DVD viewing even better than a regular DVD player. Being that this is my first BluRay player I am very impressed with it. I would suggest it to anyone looking for one's first beginners BluRay experience. If you're looking for a BluRay/DVD setup then I would highly suggest giving this item a try. ENJOY IF YOU GET ONE!!!

Really Cheap for a REASON!
Simply doesn't work. Gave it as a gift for Christmas, just found out it never worked. Just freezes and prevents shutting off, even of the TV! How embarrassing.

    It is not built in WiFi
    I really loved this DVD player but it was suppose to come with built in WiFi and it did not! Really dummed

    Freezes, nothing I could do on remote or on device to unfreeze it. Had to completely unplug power and wait. Then had to setup the wifi again. Limited on just a few apps

    Remote Control is weak.
    Remote not as powerful as hoped for. The beam off the remote is somewhat narrow, which means if the DVD unit is lower than the sitting height of the user, the remote has difficulty controlling the DVD player. I needed to raise the DVD player about two feet higher inside the open door cabinet so the remote control signal could reach senor window on the front of the DVD player.

    if no stars was an option I'd pick it. this thing is trash and the description is full of lies you cannot download other apps and it freezes I just received mine and it froze the second I tried using it DO NOT BUY THIS

    This is my second LG Blu-Ray player. I bought my first about four years ago. I really like the newer model. It starts with more apps than the original and is user friendly in it's ease of start up and use.

    No optical output
    I haven't even used the player. Was going to be used for an older setup with a 10 year old tuner and a 10 year old TV, but without an optical output to the stereo, the audio would be going through the HDMI to a TV that doesn't support 5.1 channel throughput. Will be returning in the morning. Does not serve it's intended purpose. Wal-Mart's website has the inputs/outputs listed incorrectly.

    I bought this item on Black Friday and just unboxed it today. The negative reviews are correct; the WiFi connection on this player is garbage. It has frozen 6 times in the span of 2.5 hours the first requiring unplugging the unit to reset it. It's currently not loading anything on the Netflix menu. All the boxes are in the rows but there are no pictures and under each row it says " cannot access this program at this time..." It is on my stand with a PlayStation and a Roku, each of which works perfectly fine on all streaming services, so there's nothing wrong with my router. I am going to try to get a refund but I may be too late. I haven't tried the Blu-ray player, it may be great, but I bought this unit to function as was advertised and I won't accept less. Shame on Walmart and LG for peddling this junk when someone had to have known of the problems. Nothing has this many negative reviews without someone in the chain knowing about it. Do not buy this player if you expect a functional product in exchange for your hard earned money

    Great performance, great price !
    This LG blu ray player upscales regular DVDs to blue ray, plays regular blu ray discs beautifully, and has wi-fi capability to stream Netflix, Hulu, Google Play apps, Vudu, and others. The interface and menus are easy to navigate. The tray opens quickly and discs load fast. The quality of the sound is amazing. The included remote includes a battery. I compared this side by side with my Sony BP6700 4k upscaling blu ray player and I could not tell a difference between the two. And the Sony player is double the price. The player connected easily to my wireless home network and has never dropped a signal. I've very happy with my purchase. You will be too.
