A masterpiece
this set was masterfully designed and executed. Building hundreds of Lego sets of a span of almost 30 years I can easily say that this set is the most rewarding set I've ever built. There is nothing I would change about this set. It's not a beginners set though. So if you have not mastered some easier building techniques then if maybe hard to follow the instructions. The build was amazing. Nothing was repetitive and it kept you on your toes. The detailing on the outside is perfect. Make sure you already have a place designated for this set before you start building. I definetly recommend getting this set if you are a true lego Star Wars die hard fan.
The only thing I'd like to have seen is more minifigures. Some had mentioned an exclusive new trilogy Luke skywalker (wouldn't fit story-wise but still would be cool) and I think a OT Luke and obi wan and a Lando would have been a welcome addition. but the one minifigure I wish we could have gotten was an exclusive Nien Nunb. Oh my gosh that would have been the icing on the cake.

It looks great, but honestly I'm a little disappointed in it. Except for two rooms, it's pretty empty inside and it isn't really easy to access those rooms. When you open entry ramp you can't help but feel like it's unfinished. I was also disappointed that as expensive as it is, it doesn't even have all the characters from episode 4. Let's be honest, nobody cares about the new crew, I'd rather they had included Luke, Obi Wan and R2-D2.

In my opinion, this UCS version of the Falcon is superior to the previous version. Better details and just more thoughtful design. I loved the really detailed interior sets (although now that it's built, I never see them because I don't like removing the exterior panel pieces). Overall the build was fun, though it takes awhile because the Falcon is made up of so many sub-assembly pieces - though that's a good thing as LEGO did not skimp out at all. Once it's done, the Falcon is huge. The model comes with landing struts, but displaying it like this takes up A LOT of room. I ended up buying a custom display stand that allows the Falcon to be displayed on its side, tilted at about 60 degrees. It takes up much less room, and in my opinion, shows off the Falcon much better. Although getting it on the stand was stressful. The Falcon is so heavy and fragile, I thought it might break, or that pieces might fall off and I'd have to figure out where they went. Luckily, nothing catastrophic happened and I was able to get it mounted on the stand without too much drama - though I'm glad my wife was around to help me. It would've been nice if LEGO could've included a tilted display stand with the model and incorporated that into the build, because doing it after the fact was challenging. But otherwise, a great set and a great build, and easily my favorite LEGO set.Santana155

It took me about 2.5 - 3 weeks to complete the Falcon. The set itself is really amazing with a bunch of details that make it an excellent upgrade to the previous UCS Falcon. The build was grueling and complex, not in a bad way. It's just that you build a bunch of sub-assemblies and it takes awhile before you get to “shape” the Falcon and put on the exterior pieces. Building the Falcon will make all other Lego builds seem easy in comparison. Despite that, I love the end result. It displays beautifully and most will not be disappointed especially for any Star Wars fan. Some nitpicks. Ended up with about 6 missing exterior pieces. Lego replaced it quite quickly. Once I built it, I needed a way to display it, so I bought a Technic stand. It was crazy to mount it. My first attempt had a bunch of parts just falling off everywhere. Took awhile to rebuild it, 3 hours or so. Decided to try again a week after and it was easy since I knew what to look out for. Transporting it to my upstairs office was nerve racking. End result is that it is the center piece of my collection. A beautiful set but a bit fragile compared to others.GeneralPaleSnike100

I'm glad though now they separate out the bags more and the books are smaller and the bags go in order in the separated boxes which is probably the only downside to this build is the book takes up most of my table space. Organizing the legos to get ready for the build takes a lot of space since theres so many bags per number. Was shocked when i read this was only 17 bags. Lol . This was the first largest set they ever sold to the public so of course it had its challenges. I love it though. I am not done but started it and can't wait for the finished outcome.Savnchris1

From opening the main box to reading through the instruction booklet to complete if the first set of bags it's been amazing. I only wish that their weren't so many pieces missing from separate bags. I'm just a little disappointed that I've had to order and wait for replacement parts on 3 separate occasions because some of the bags have been missing a piece. For the price, it's unfortunate that this has been happening and put a pause on my build experience 3 separate times now. Other than that I love the UCS Falcon Set. It's HUGE!!! My ratings are 4 across the board but if it weren't for the pieces missing in different bags it would definitely be a 5 across the board for me.TO29

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser02/17/2022Amazing Display Piece, Grueling BuildThis set makes for an absolutely stellar display piece that will definitely become the centerpiece of your lego collection, but be warned — if you love how colorful legos are, this set and how large it is will suck a lot of the color out of your collection. The detail and size are unparalleled, and I think this set is worth the money. If you can afford it and are a huge fan of LEGO, I think this set is one you need to own. When it comes to the build, I was not the biggest fan (the 1989 Batmobile is still my favorite one). It is primarily building large subsections and attaching them (in a rather difficult and sometimes fragile manner) to a single core. I prefer to build one large structure. It took me 12 hours to complete, and the first half can feel like a slog since you're primarily building the underside. The 2nd half is much more rewarding when you're building the top half, as you can really start to see the set come together. 8.5/10!Unknown

This set is an absolute MVP. The build experience was great, this set has a variety of different builds that avoid any type of repetitiveness and embrace you into a fun and certainly challenging build. The interior builds such as the Dejarik table and the hyperspace cabin add a nostalgia feeling to this set, many of the greatest Star Wars memories I have came back to me when I was building these sections, I'm sure it will also happen to you. The minifigs are great and visually when you finish it, this set just looks GOATED. I definitively recommend getting a display case for the set. The only complaint I have regarding the set is that I can almost assure there was 1 missing piece from the bags. Even though I was able to replace it with a similar stud. Asides from that, this is The ultimate Lego for all Star Wars fans. Really glad I was able to get it and then build it. CheersChrisD2
