Wow.....Just Wow
I was debating whether or not to get this for a really long time. I watched speed builds and it seemed like a boring build. I was very wrong. It was very cool to see how the designers created this piece. It looks amazing as a display piece and I highly recommend it!

do not buy!!! not worth the money!!!!
FALLS APART!!! ive built many starwars lego sets and i have never built one that falls apart as much as this. took me about a week to build and it is a pain to try to keep it together while your building it. the huge plates dont stay together the interior supports detach the small pieces fall off. finally i get done building it and its awesome dont get me wrong its huge and sweet but after that first day of it getting done it starts to fall apart again havent even moved it and the engine is off then the bottom plates come apart then on of the interior support pops out some parts of this is just sloppy no support at all ive rebuilt this thing probably 3 times over since ive had it. my opinion its not worth the price. dont buy it. and if you do your going to need some glue. highly disappointed.

    Get it while you can!
    Seriously amazing set. If you like the star destroyer, buy this before it retires. If you want a UCS set but you're not a fan of the ship, go for something else. It is an intermediate level build, but lengthy. It's presence is just epic, and any Star Wars fan will go crazy if they see it in person. I made a couple small detail modifications to mine :)

    If you can afford it, go for it!
    I decided to treat myself. I'd been looking for secondhand Star Destroyers for some time, and after hard consideration I went for this one. Let me tell you, it was a hit to my bank account, but this is by far the best item in my collection. Insanely intricate but not difficult, if not a little tedious. The build is repetitive but in a very good way. It's very rewarding to see this ship assemble step by step, and though it looks scary in the instructions and on the box, it's a very fun build for intermediate or advanced builders. I wish the figure selection was a little better for a set in this price range, though an officer with molded legs and a crew member with printed arms are always a yes from me. Another thing you'll always hear about this set: pictures really don't do it justice. This thing is massive, almost 4 feet long when assembled. If you can safely afford this set, and you're into the Ultimate Collector's line of sets, absolutely go for it!

    Best Lego set ever.
    This is the single most amazing Lego set I have seen. The tantive IV is a nice touch and adds a lot. No details were missed on this one and is about four feet long. Had some trouble snapping on the panels but other than that it's amazing.

    Loved every minute!
    Bought this set after thinking about it for a while. Built lots of legos when I was younger but nothing like to this scale. I don't regret this purchase for a second. The build itself took me about 20 hours, doing 1 “numbered bag” a night to extend the experience. This is a pretty technician build and not for younger kids without an adult or experienced builder around. Be warned though, this set is HUGE and pretty heavy when complete. Many one star reviews stated about how fragile it is and pieces popping off out of nowhere, I didn't experience any of that. All the pieces fit very tightly, but good pressure is recommended on the larger panels for a good fit. Buy this set! Will be getting the UCS Falcon next!

    I had a great time building this unique one of a kind set. After finishing the repetitive colosseum, this was a breath of fresh air. The set is huge and looks intimidating. Best of my collection thus far. Get it before it retires!

    Amazing Set
    This is a set you really just have to see in person. I knew it would be big; I did the measurements to make sure I had the space. But it didn't really set in until I had completed the frame. The sheer scale and detail of this set are truly something to behold. If you have the money (and space), I definitely think this set is worth the money.

    My daughter really like the ship and enjoyed the building experience. Also amazed by the size and the fancy building instruction book. She loves legos and has many lego sets. The only problem she experienced was three pieces of parts are bent and she had trouble putting them together. Overall, it is a nice set and she loves it. Image 1 is the completed set and image 2 is a bent piece compared to the normal piece. Image 3 also a piece that was bent.

    Another King has come to town
    This BEAST was a challenging build. But in a good way. I will say that removing the top part to get to the handle usually knocks a few small blocks off, but other than that, this thing is rock solid. It doesn't have a lot of play-ability, but it looks wonderful!! Added this to my small collection of imperial cruisers.

    I love this set …
    Yes it is expensive and big, but this set really defines the Star Wars universe with me. This is by far the best display set Lego makes and looks great with the other imperial Helmet sets.
