WOW!!
Let me start out by saying that I found this set at a yard sale…yes a yard sale. Had never been opened. So to say I was excited is an understatement…and the price!! Wooooo!! But I would also pay full price for this set bc it is so worth it. It took me 3days, on and off, to build it. It is a fun build!!! It isn't complicated, the instructions are easy to read and navigate, the pieces are awesome and the way it all goes together is awesome!!! It's a beautiful set as well. I did the leaves a little different-I mixed them together-(it comes with 2 sets of leaves-green ones and autumn ones)-so I mixed them up and have a more ‘the leaves are changing' aspect…it's not really a ‘play' set but my son has been playing with it somewhat, the best that he can. In my opinion it's more of a display set. But if you have been thinking of buying this set, DO IT. You will not regret it!!!

Its not new. Box arrived opened
Rating mainly for packaging. It's NOT NEW. Box has been opened before and came with missing pieces. Good thing lego was able to send me the missing pieces.

    This is a great set and could actually be considered a 2 in 1, because you can change the tree colors from summer green to the beautiful yellows, tans, and oranges of fall! Great for a family building project.

    Best Christmas gift
    I received this from my brother as a Christmas gift this year. Needless to say I was ecstatic. I am having a fantastic time building this set, the diciest part so far has been the roofs. I think my fingies aren't delicate enough because I keep accidentally breaking pieces off. All in all I highly recommend!

    Great kit!
    This was my second kit after purchasing the A-frame house. I love all the small details and thought that went into this build - very intricate. It's a great addition to the A-frame house set as well.

    Nice set
    Very nice display piece. Can't play much with it without knocking stuff off. Came with enough extra pieces to make lots of other things, for example I made a smoking pipe for my Gandalf figure. Loved the autumn colors so much, I ordered extra autumn color pieces to turn my castle and Shire sets into fall time as well. Thanks

    My daughter picked this out for Christmas. She's so excited! The box is huge! It's definitely worth the sale price as it has 3036 Lego pieces. It only took a couple of days to get here and was packaged well.

    Amazing set!
    Got this set from my family as a 36-years birthday gift. Have built it together with my son (5 years old), one bag each evening before his bedtime for a couple of weeks. It has been an amazing experience. The set is truly beautiful, and my son got very intrigued by the small secrets like hidden scissors, jewels and the book in the children's room. He loves to play with it, but the set is more of a display piece, as it is a bit fragile in its nature. Since my birthday was in spring time, my family had ordered a spring outfit for the tree on Pick a brick. It has pink foliage with pink and white flowers. I'm amazed by how beautiful it looks, and have put it at a prime spot in our living room. Guests have commented that it has the same effect as a bouquet of flowers. We are planning on ordering Halloween and winter/Christmas decorations for it as well, so it becomes a dynamic family project, that will change each season. Highly recommend this set, as it is both fun to build, and a beautiful feature for your home.

    Must get before it retires.
    So I actually got this set for my boyfriend and it was our first Lego set to build as a adult. My boyfriend really joyed every second of it besides the instructions. The only reason why I did not give 5 stars is because he complained that the brown and dark brown were poorly shown on the steps. so he had a hard time completing the dark parts.

    Great idea, interesting design great build.
    This is my first lego review ever. I got into engineering after a childhood of growing up with classic lego and stumbled across lego again. Childhood nostalgia overload! Lego has come along way from last I remember. In regards to this set in particular, I really like the concept. A treehouse is a childhood fantasy for lots of us out there. The design strategy for this set is really interesting and I found it enjoyable. The instructions are so detailed, had there been less than the odd 440 pages, it would have been confusing. At times, the brick layout on the tree bark seemed as though it was sort of random when the design was still in concept. I read some of the previous reviews about pieces missing or stuff not fitting and I understand where they're coming from. I was dreading a piece missing, but none were. What I noticed about the instructions was that the pictographic representations were excellent, however, there was a time when I mistook a 1x12 plate for a 1x10 plate earlier on in the build and later on in the build, pieces weren't matching up, where I had to later backtrack the steps and realized that I made a mistake. It's understandable, because a lot of the pieces are brown. Sometimes, it's easy to mistake the rotation of the studs on a multiple sided studded block. It's completely understandable. Not gona lie, there were a few times where I thought a piece was accidentally missing, because the piece was a plate in lieu of a tile that I thought it to be. All in all, great build and it took me hours to complete. I think it made up for the 20 years of missed lego from my childhood. Would definitely recommend this product; it's a great display piece! I managed to fit mine on a shelf at the foot of my bed.
