Great for display!
I collect minifigures and putting them on a shelf wasn't an option. I took a photo frame from Ikea and sticked the base plate with double-sided tape. So I can easily use the plate later for another project.

Super-Flimsy!
I bought four of these for my daughter for all her Friends sets (She has 59!). But she no sooner took them out of the package and they began to warp and curl up. They will not lay flat unless she builds a rather heavy element on them. I've designed a couple architectural models, but I'm afraid to buy this baseplate for fear it will do the same, even though it is the size I need. Hey Lego, for the price, how about making the plates heavier? Legos aren't just for kids anymore, and I'd like to get my money's worth. Thanks!

    I bought this Lego plate for my son (an avid Lego fan). The quality is good (as you might expect from the original Lego brand). Having it on sale at walmart makes it even more attractive and valuable. Very happy with the purchase. I was thinking to buy cheaper other brand on Amazon at fraction of cost of Lego) but decided to buy original one due to quality and value. The size for those who may be wondering: Approx 14.5X14.5 inches (about 38X38 cm, 48X48 dots)

    Flimsy and light weight
    Not the kind of quality that I expected from Lego. It's needed, but poor quality. Also would like to be able to buy bigger unit for large displays. This was 15x15 inches.

    Here's Space To Build Your LEGO Creations On!
    These plates are great for LEGO fans to build on. Builders can carry their projects on them or lock multiple base plates together upon a table to create their own LEGO world. They can be used for making LEGO mosaics, creating a game, and just about anything else LEGO fans can think of. I bought 9 of these base plates to build a LEGO wall for my son. They worked perfectly for my DIY project.

    Shore up Uncle Greg's Firehouse at Daytona Beach!
    My Grandson, who adores his Uncle Greg, a Daytona Beach, FL Fireman, thinks this is the basest of his bases... No, really, we built his Fire Station which pleased him to no end, but moving it was a chore, as the smaller base-plates had little to no inter-connectivity. We lucked out with this (actually I had counted, before purchasing): His Fire Station is 48 "dots" wide. I had ordered a 50 dot by 50 dot from another vendor, but the "virus scare" delayed the item for TWO months, so, I counted (with difficulty) the dots through the packaging: 48x48. Perfect width fit! That allows for an area in front for add-on sets, like hydrants. ;-)

    Excelent and Usefull Piece
    I bought the Gray Baseplate Lego for its size, which I understood to be suitable for putting on my Lego Speed Champions. I'm 5 at the moment. They did very well! There is enough room for 3 Lego Speed Champions. Good build quality. I recommend.

    Wonderful product
    I bought 2 of these to go on top of the Crossmill 4 cube organizer. They fit perfectly! Now my daughter can build/leave out her creations and keep the legos in the bins!

    Good if you need it
    I collect the Lego mini-figures. Bought a baseplate (grey) to have them in one group. Putting them along the edge was acceptable for most of them, but there were many that did not fit as easily as others, hard to put some of them on the plate because their accessories would become undone from the figure easily. I did display them in ice cube trays until I got to many, and another way was putting them on rulers and then sticking the ruler to the closet and door frame which was cute until I got to many and ran out of frame space. The base is a good place but not perfect.
