Gets it done cleanly
Quality / price ratio is good for this item. This will help secure your firearms. This is not a 300 Lb safe that will totally prevent theft. Be realistic in your budget and your goals. This unit works well for me. There was a little chipping at a couple corners during shipping but I would say it arrived at about 95%. Since it is not heavy weight then be sure to secure this unit to the wall and floor: when empty the door weight will cause it to tip over when the door is open. Securing the unit to your structure will also help deter theft. I have 4 long guns in this safe at the moment and they fit fine. The small lock box will hold a little ammo and a handgun. This will not hold much else, maybe a few more boxes of ammo on the floor. This unit is basic but will get the job done. If you want more capability or options you should expect to pay more. Pretty simple. Enjoy!

    Budget friendly and worth every penny
    Ordered this on a Wednesday and it was delivered 2 days later on Friday even though it said it would take almost two weeks for delivery. Delivered in perfect condition. Easy to mount to wall. Not made from the strongest materials on the planet, but definitely worth $235. Rather simple to set up a personal passcode. Highly recommended.

    The description led you to believe that it was actually a safe and its nothing more than a cabinet. When something weighs almost a hundred pound You are led to believe that it is a lot thicker steel than it is but they just added weight into the bottom to get to that poundage.     if you get a good one
    The one I just bought was terrible the handle mechanism was not smooth, the door jam was missing a metal support on the inside, made the door sloppy, had to send back. The reason I know this I ordered one 2 years ago that was real nice

    So much safer than your underwater drawer.
    This unit is exactly as advertised. It is more of a light duty safe but it is what I needed and wanted. It is small enough for me to to move into place by myself and not so heavy that youd have to hire a moving company, with a front loader, to change locations.

    Came dented, scratched and missing 3 batteries
    It was delivered with about 8 small dents and scratches which is disappointing. Batteries which came with safe were opened and only 1 battery was there. Obviously a used safe but was presented as new. Since it will be in a closet, I am okay with the imperfections. Light enough to handle by myself and secures semi-valuable items in my home at a medium level.

    Good gun safe for the money.
    This seems to be a good quality case. It was easy to change the combination on the lock to a number I would remember. They included four batteries for the combination lock but they were very cheap and one end fell off the battery so I started out with fresh Duracell batteries. There is a felt cloth that sits on the bottom that doesn't fit real well but does work. It included mounting screws for a cement wall but not for a wood or other surface. My guns fit OK but as they have scopes on them I had to turn them a little to fit. The cabinet is deeper than most of the smaller gun cabinets I have seen. The door is secured with five sliding bolts to lock it closed. The door can be opened with either the combination or the keys they give you. So if your batteries sit too long you can still open the safe with a key. I think the metal is a little thicker and it weighs a lot more than my old six gun safe did. It isn't a perfect safe, but should keep most people from breaking into it.

    I am completely satisfied with the gun safe. I like the two options to lock and open the door. It stands up in a corner without securing it to the wall or floor. But if the need arises it has holes available and screws.

    cheap safe
    I bought this safe to place inside my closet. It showed up up with mild damage with no damage to the box. To me, that it was damaged before it was sent. It also has was too much wiggle on the door and doesn't hold a good seal. I contacted Walmart and they said that a rep with the company would contact me and when they did instead of offering an exchanged they tried to haggle me for a partial refund. Why in the world would I want dented furniture? Walmart corrected the action after I contacted them. Definitely not buying another safe from these guys.
