dissappointed
i thought the king kooker would be agreat item for backyard cooking, i was wrong. the kooker does not hold heat as well as needed,after frying one set of chicken it seemed to loose its heat and the oil seemed to come to a boil.found it dissappointing.

    cast iron fish fryer
    lot less expensive than similar item at Bass Pro Shop. The only difference I could see was that the Bass item was pre-seasoned and had a cast iron lid rather than an aluminum lid. You don't use a lid while frying so for me the lid did not matter. It took only a few minutes to season the cast iron pot.

    king Kooker is King!
    Love it! Has equal heat throughout and dutch oven is plenty big for family of eight. Only complaint is it has a very light lid, I thought this would let heat escape but worked well making gumbo . Lid is standard so any glass pyrex will work if need to keep things warm on the side

    I have enjoyed my King Kooker. I do recommend this product. The only dissappointment was the lid. I was bent all up when it was delivered...It should be a iron lid instead of aluminum
