    OK for now
    the edges are sharp. Going to have to file down. Box came pretty well open and the box that the ladder was in was crushed and torn. I need to hang it out to test the strength.

    BEST Escape Ladder
    The Best - Can't say enough on how important this LADDER is!! In an emergency what are you going to do?? I have taken it out of the box - sits under my bed (stays compact) until unlatching strap - it is 1-2-3 EASY - Absolutely recommend this for people upstairs - FIRE is fast

    Took some time to get these in. These were bought because a friend had a house fire. In response to this it made me think of fire prevention and safety at my house. Being I have an upstairs I knew I needed something and the price was fantastic. It's one of those things that if I never have to use the better. Will test them during the warmer months to see how well the work. Quality looks good and are pretty light for something that's suppose to handle a lot of weight.     I haven't used the ladder yet as I bought it for emergency use only. I wish that I would have known that the ladder can only be used one time before I bought it. The package states that if the ladder is used more than once it can cause injury or death to the user. I did not notice this warning on the website when I was purchasing the ladder. However, I do feel that the purchase is worthwhile because having it in my home provides a sense of security for my family.

    excellent escape ladder
    I have a 2nd story and got this for my room in case of emergency fire. it is easy to use but DO NOT take the steps apart. the handles can be "practiced" opening and hooking onto a sill, but the steps cannot. I just reviewed it, and now know what to do if I ever need it. Many people dont stop to think who live in apts that this is also a great investment for them.
