Something everyone needs!
Everyone needs a fire extinguisher. I didn't have one in my house and not too long ago I had a small fire in my kitchen. That was a wake up call to me that we really needed a fire extinguisher! Thankfully everything was fine in my kitchen but it obviously could have been worse. I received this fire extinguisher from the Spark Reviewer program and put it under my sink immediately after reading the instructions. It it simple to use and compact in size. Definitely recommend! Great quality with clear instructions.

Every Car or Boat Needs One
I have always had a fire extinguisher in my boat and car for as long as I can remember. I have been fortunate as I have never had the occasion to actually use one. I have long trusted the name Kidde and although there are many choices out there, these seem to hold their charge a lot longer than some. I am somewhat disappointed that the mounting strap is now plastic. In fact the strap was actually broken on the one I received, so, if you purchase this type, be sure to check the strap is attached to the bracket. Having never had to use them, I cannot say how well they perform.

    Compact and easy to carry fire extinguisher
    If you want to be prepared in case of a fire emergency in your auto or your boat, the Kidde Auto/Marine Fire Extinguisher is the way to go! A compact fire extinguisher suitable for use on fires of liquids and gases (class B) and energized electrical equipment (class c)-with graphics on the fire extinguisher indicating these clases. Easy-to- read and clear (at a glance) instructions with graphics in how to operate the fire extinguisher are on the fire extinguisher itself. The gauge easily indicates the fire extinguisher is completely charged and ready to use: green means full and red means empty. Both the graphic instructions and classes are in Spanish on the fire extinguisher as well as on the box. With this lightweight fire extinguisher, that is UL listed you not only are preparing yourself for an emergency situation, but it gives you peace of mind. Great not only for autos, trucks and boats, but also for your RVs. It is easy to spot given it is a white fire extinguisher. I also take it with me when going camping. It is an additional preparedmness in case of a fire emergency. Although it is a single use unit, it is wise to have one at least in your vehicles. Do recommend it!

    What price do you put on safety?
    If you have a motorized boat or a car or a truck, you should have fire extinguisher on board. Seriously, why would you not have one of these at hand. We all wear seat belts and carry life jackets to protect us in case of an accident. Carrying a fire extinguisher is the logical next step in the safety cycle. I have been fortunate that I have never had to use a fire extinguisher on my own boat or vehicle, but I have used one more than once to help out others. Keep in mind that simply owning a fire extinguisher is not enough. You need to make sure that it is securely mounted in an accessible location (there are a ton of videos out there with suggested locations and mounting methods). You also need to regularly check the device to make sure that it has not lost its charge. Once the charge indicator shows the charge has dropped below the optimum level, I have used the unit as a demonstration piece when teaching fire safety to our Scout troop. Even though a device indicates the charge is not enough to fight a full fire, there is always enough residual charge for demonstration purposes. Needless to say, I strongly recommend that everyone should carry a fire extinguisher. Furthermore, when it comes time to select a unit, make sure that you get one from a reputable company like Kidde. They have long produced some of the most reliable fire extinguishers on the market.

    Helps you be prepared for a fire
    Thankfully, we have not had to use this fire extinguisher, but we are prepared in the event that we have a fire, as it is in a convenient location and it came with simple instructions for mounting and using. Our whole tamily had been trained how to use it. It is compact, light. And very easy to operate. Every household should have one and be prepared in the event that there is a fire.

    This is a review of a fire extinguisher for cars or boats The strap that fastens the extinguisher to the bracket is just plastic and something small. It is only for use in cars or boats. It is not for kitchens. It is not rechargeable. It should be replaced at 6 years preferably. It is very useful to be cautious and have a fire extinguisher in the trunk of each vehicle, in the trailer, or in the boat. Since it can be very useful for your own use or to help someone else. Check when you buy it that it has the clip and the support in good condition because it is plastic. It is class B Liquids and Gases and class C for electrical equipment. It has graphic instructions to follow step by step It weighs approximately 4 pounds

    This Kidde Auto/Marine UL listed 10 -B, C rated fire extinguisher is perfect for a boat or vehicles for electrical, liquid and gas fires. It is a 4lb, one time use fire extinguisher fitted with a convenient gauge to show you when your extinguisher is full or empty and anywhere in between. Slim so as to fit in small spaces. Illustrated instructions for proper use are listed on the powder coated canister. The canister is made to withstand a few bumps and is corrosion resistant. Plastic handle and lever. Designed to be mounted in a boat or in your car/truck. Sprays 4-6 feet for about 8 to 12 seconds according to the instructions, and according to my research, this particular canister has 2.9 lbs of dry, multipurpose chemical extinguishing agent inside. Highly recommended to all for boating safety and to keep in your vehicles. You want to have it just in case, but hope you never need to use it. Get one for your kitchen, but be sure to check out what fires these are made for. This is not suitable for grease fires. When deployed, this stuff can get messy so be careful and use the instructions as a guide. Highly recommended. Thank you Walmart Spark Reviewer for allowing me to try this product. Kidde is a household name because it is a trusted brand for tried and true safety products

    everyone should own
    I have to say first off, that I have not used this extinguisher. (This is reflected in my rating) I did not want to test it by discharging any of the chemical because of the pressure factor. I feel more confident with a fully charged extinguisher at hand. I am so pleased to have this in my truck. I have been taking a chance on either no fires in the vehicle or ones that could not be extinguished with my current product, which is actually rated ABC but is on the very edge of being not charged at all. I also had on hand a tiny extinguisher that was for several types of fires, but the size alone was discouraging. It is more convenient for use in the kitchen, laundry room, etc. This Kidde is especially made for auto (or boat) usage. The holder makes it handy to put in my tool box without bouncing around and being damaged. I never heard of PASS before and when in a bad situation this will come in handy. No panic... Pull pin, Aim (at base), Squeeze handle and trigger, Sweep the area. So while I can't in reality tell how this is at putting out fires, I can say that it is worth having for the sense of security should I need it. I recommend that everyone has at least one of these extinguishers in their home and vehicle. The size is not overly large and it will hang securely in a convenient place. The ABC Classification and easy to read pressure indicator makes it suitable for anyone anywhere.

    For My Corvette
    I have standard Kidde fire extinguishers in my house, but they are not really suitable for a car. Recently i got a 93 Corvette, and I like to drive it. It needs its own fire extinguisher, and this is it! Luckily, I can't really comment on their effectiveness in an actual fire, and I hope I never find out.

    Safety First!
    It's always good to carry a fire extinguisher in your vehicles for any emergencies that may arise. The Kidde Auto/Marine Fire Extinguisher is perfect for any vehicle. We keep ours inside of an emergency roadside kit stored in the back of our SUV. If there is ever a fire within the engine compartment or inside the cabin of the truck, we will be sure to grab the extinguisher in a hurry. The Kidde Auto/Marine extinguisher unit comes standard with a pressure gauge that shows the status of its contents. The Kidde Auto/Marine extinguisher is also manufactured from lightweight aluminum with a tough aluminum valve assembly.
