Simple humidifier that does the job
This is my second humidifier. The one had I before has a smaller tank so the first thing i liked about this Honeywell humidifier is that it has a good sized tank and with the kind of usage i have, it lasts almost 5 days. Another thing I like about this humidifier is that its pretty quiet. Mist has multiple settings that let you control the amount of mist. It is easy to fill the tank and clean it. I use vinegar to clean it once in two week. I would also recommend using filtered water in the tank. There's a small essential oils tray which is really nice in setting up a nice smell in the room. It is a very simple and basic humidifier with very minimal controls and that is one of the reasons i really like it.

This has a large reservoir so holds plenty of water. I like the tray that slides out to add essential oils. I received just as I was getting over the flu. And had a dry hacking cough. So I needed moisture in the air, the motor is very quiet a great feature. The problem I had is it leaks from the bottom. Could be the hard water we have.

    Great Ultrasonic Humidifier
    This Honeywell Ulta Quiet Ultrasonic humidifier is great for when kids get sick and moist air really helps. I like that it is ultrasonic so the mist isn't hot and works so much better than the old style evaporative humidifiers. An ultrasonic humidifier is one that uses high-frequency sound vibrations to produce an extra fine water mist that is then expelled to add moisture to the room. It is often considered the quieter of both types of humidifiers. It has a big water tank so I can run it all night. I'm sure it would go for a lot longer. I just haven't needed it to run longer. The instructions say it can run up to 36 hours. It's got an adjustable level of output, which is nice because on high it created too much moisture for running overnight. The only drawback I've run into is that when we used it for diffusing essential oils (which you add to a little tray that goes in the side) it didn't seem to have as strong of an effect as the small essential oil diffuser we already had. I like that it doesn't have an obnoxiously bright light on it. Overall, it works great, is a good size, and is really quiet.

    Really helps with sleep
    I really love this Honeywell Ultra Quiet Humidifier! I got his for my daughters' room as they both constantly wake up with dry mouths and thirsty. Their room seems to get pretty dry in the winter. I wouldn't necessarily call this humidifier ”ultra” quiet, but it is quiet enough to where they aren't bothered by it. Which is good since it is set up on a table in the middle of their two beds. My favorite part Hass to be the essential oil tray. I put lavender in at night when they're going to sleep, and if they are sick I add-in Some eucalyptus or lemon. I really believe that this has helped them with their sleep as well as keep their room less dry. I generally put it on after dinner and run it through the night without worry of running out of water because it has a nice big tank. Next I think I will get one for our room since it's been such a success in their room. Anything to help all of our sleep is a great product.

    Lots of moisture
    I was so happy to get this cool mist humidifier as I have never tried one before. We have always just used the hot kind. I want to say that it was a Vicks like for when you are sick. Someone had given me a cool mist Humidifier before and I never used it because it had all kinds of rules and filters in order to use it. This one said filter free so I got excited when I saw that. I always wanted a cool mist version because my kids are very young and I worried about them burning their self. But it was always too much work and cost involved with having to buy a filter kind and all the special set up for that. This one is filter free so all you have to do is Lift the tank up off of the unit and turn it up side down and then remove the screw on cap. Then fill up the tank with cool or room temperature water. Then put the cap back on tightly but not overly tightened. Then turn it back up side down and line it up in to the bottom of the machine. You can then plug it in and turn the wheel to go to the lowest setting and all the way up to the highest if you like. There is also a little slot on the bottom side of the unit where you can open it to put essential oil's onto this felt looking piece of material. I just used a few drops. Then shut the little drawer. And it is very nice smells. The oil does not go inside of the water. It also says not to do this on the instructions. It turned out to be a good strong smell. Although it was definitely not as strong as my diffuser. I put a breathe easy essential oil blend in the drawer of this unit. It worked great for clearing our sinuses though. When you want to switch oils though i'm not so sure how that is going to work. It did not come with any other fiber replacements to put in that little drawer. I don't know if you can buy those separately. I had it running on full blast in my kitchen for several hours. It did not run out of water. I am betting it would last all night long during sleep. If you run it on full speed you might get a watery mist on everything around it. I had wet countertops all around it. It says to turn it down or move it further away from items too. It said to put it on a water proof surface and also at least a foot away from the walls. I believe it also said 4 feet from the bed. I really don't know where I can put this thing in a bedroom. I don't think I have 4 feet anywhere in the room not by a bed. I will just half to put it on the low setting and hope I don't wake up to a wet bed. I have not used this during the night yet. No one in my house has been sick yet so we have not gotten to try that part of it yet. I know it puts off a lot of moisture in the air though. It was really pretty quiet. I am excited to have this. It seems Even easier than the hot version that I am used to.

    Attractive and quiet
    This humidifier will blend into almost any décor. It's not too big, and the black color blends in without dominating its surroundings. It is a little over 8 inches at the base and about 13 inches tall. The base is a matte finish and the transparent water tank is shiny dark tinted plastic. The instructions say to place it at least 12 inches from the wall, however, the vapor mist comes out through an opening in the top front and is angled away from the back wall. The mist looks like steam, but it's not hot, just room temperature. The unit is very quiet, which is a plus. The instructions recommend cleaning with vinegar about once a week, followed by sanitizing with a bleach solution. I think this would be during times of heavy usage and would also depend on the type of water you are putting in it. The instructions do not say anything about using distilled or filtered water, but since I wanted to make less frequent cleanings, I am using distilled water. Besides that, we live in the high desert and the water contains a lot of minerals which would make cleaning more often necessary. The instructions also suggest that you have a humidity monitor and the recommended humidity level is 40% to 60%. I have the unit in a large open area that encompasses the living room, dining area, kitchen, and an office. It takes about an hour and a half running on the second setting from the bottom to raise the humidity one percent. But it's a very large area, and this only drops the water level in the tank about one inch. I haven't been running it more than 2 or 3 hours a day since low humidity has not been a problem this time of year (winter).

    Great For The Bedroom
    I have a post-nasal drip and my mouth gets so dry when I sleep at night. Using a humidifier helps with my dry mouth. I was told by my doctor you will never find a humidifier that will get your room to the comfort level of moisture. The only way to do that is to have a moisture air system connected to your HVAC in your home. With that said my doctor recommended I place the Honeywell Humidifier right next to my bed to help with my dry mouth. This really works for me. My old Honeywell Humidifier was a moisture one. Which means it didn't have a mist. The mist is a must for me! The tank size is good using the second setting or the second light lit up. I don't have to fill it up more than once a week on that setting. I would definitely have to fill it more than once on any of the higher settings. Because of the hard water where I live there is a film or dust that gets on the humidifier, my closet door mirrors and the post to my floor lamp. I knew about this before I used it so I wasn't surprised. I'm going to buy a hard water treatment to put into the humidifier which should help with the film. The humidifier was very quiet...especially with it being right next to my bed. It doesn't disturb my sleep. This is great for me because I'm easily bothered by noises in general and especially in my sleep. I haven't used the essential oil dispenser so I can't comment on how well it works. Honeywell overall makes a great humidifier.

    The quietest humidifier
    I have had many humidifiers. This is the quietest humidifier that I have ever owned. It also is the simplest one I have ever owned. There is no filter! That is a big reason to purchase it. Filters are expensive and need replacing often. I love how easy it is to fill. Lift it off the base and it fills up in the bathroom sink. The mist is cool so no worries with a steam burn. Definitely a plus with a curious cat or small children. I use this in my bedroom to give moisture while I sleep to avoid morning headaches. It also has an essential oil spot to give fragrance to the room. Bonus! I would highly recommend this for a bedroom.

    This is a wonderful machine to use for when your house gets too dry. Always have a hygrometer on hand to make sure you are not over humidifying. This Honeywell's product holds a huge amount of water, so is able to last all day I use bottled water as well water tends to have minerals and metals that can produce a white dust with the humidifier. Super easy to clean, I use the standard vinegar to clean regularly. Ensure to disinfect periodically with bleach as well. It includes a patch to out drops of essential oils. Do not put anything directly into the water. I also love how the speed at which it mists can be adjusted. Overall, a great addition to a household. Especially useful for when you have a cold. The dry air makes coughing worse and unproductive. With the humidifier, it helps you feel better faster. Add eucalyptus to the essential oil pad and you are good to go. Highly recommend for families.
