Lids really lock on
Homz bins are made in the USA. It states the materials are US and imported. I love the 18 gallon bins. I think the larger ones get too heavy to carry and these are just perfect. I packed up clothes to be placed in our storage and another for toys. One was turned into a pretend car for a day as the kids pushed each other around. The bin held up to their abuse. The lids really lock on and you hear a click. I have had in the past lids that did not stay on secure, but not with these. These stack great too. I have not had any lids give way with weight thus far. They are wider on the top than the bottom, but I think that is to help with the stacking. This is not an issue for me. Overall these bins seem very durable and I am pleased and I think they will last a long time

Only For Lightweight Items
This storage bin is definitely not Rubbermaid. It's not durable. It's only good for lightweight items such as clothing, small tools, toys (stuffed animals and boxed up toys), books/magazines (not textbooks or filled binders). I wouldn't recommend packing it up to the brim because the top doesn't lock tight. It just snaps closed and it's not very secure. It won't keep the moths out or the humidity(dampness). Do not use these containers in a cellar type of basement or attic. The non temperature controlled environment in these places will certainly damage the container as well as the item(s) inside. Like I said before it's not durable. So it will crack or pierce easily. I would recommend this container for moving college kids. It can carry their school supplies, toiletries, blankets, clothes, shoes etc. Just don't make the bins to heavy or they will bend or break. These bins are best for only short term use. Meaning to move things around. The only type of long term storage these containers are good for would be clutter and organizing of items in a dry, temperature controlled environment. Such as a bedroom. Overall if you're looking for a cheap storage bin that's not durable these are for you.

    Great for stacking, but don't overpack!
    These look great! They come in a pack of six so that you can easily organise your garage, holiday decor, or linen closet in my case. Pros: Lids snap easily into place, are stackable, 18 gallons in size, and have handles for easy carrying. Cons: Flimsy if overstuffed, nondescript color, and lids pop off if packed too heavy. I recommend these storage bins for medium to lightweight storage.

    Everyone needs these at some point
    Everyone needs a sturdy plastic tub at one point or another. These are great for storing pretty much anything you need to store. It's got a snap on lid and a good place to grip and carry these around if needed. They are made so they will stack on top of each other easily for multiple totes. Made very sturdy and can handle quite a bit of stuff inside. If you need to store something. Get one of these and put it in the tote, it's the way to go!

    Great for storage. Not so great in quality
    I am a hoarder. And constantly in need of plastic containers. I got this big plastic container pack of 8 boxes. They look uniformed and nice. They all come with lid and you can stack them up . But they aren't as sturdy as I was hoping for. You can stack them up nicely and they most definatly look very neat. Hold whole bunch of stuff. But are on flimsy side. It's cheap storage option. Good looking, okay quality.

    Love It!
    I love these! I have so many shoes and purses that I didn't know what to do with them. This helped me get my closet in order. I was able to crate up all of my shoes and purses as well as my winter cloths and boots. Now my closet doesn't look like a disaster.

    Ever had two floods in your basement in 1 month? Well, i did and learned that these handy storage bins work better than cardboard boxes! Flood one I lost about half of my things. Traditional cardboard boxes were no option for me as they tend to break, water or other dirt can leak in and they are just bulky to store and most often to messed up to reuse. We opted to invest into storage totes. As these are easy to stack on top of another when moving and can be nested in themselves for minimal storage space in the garage. The lids fits nice and snug and they are water proof. Trust me, you can't imagine what moving boxes have to endure i am now purchasing another 8 of the large ones and another 2 of the smaller ones. Highly recommend, this is all i use. My garage is full of these because they are sturdy, stackable and keep my garage neat with labels on the side. They are stackable, hold a lot, and very durable. We use them in our storage for everything from toys to clothing to tools. Worth the extra expense! they are definitely worth their investment. I recommend them for indoor household goods.

    Good totes
    18 gallon totes. Pretty nice. I used them to store stuff from. Room I'm remodeling. Holds quite a bit. Lids fit nicely. Not loose and clicks on to the tote. Don't overload them. Because they are a flexible plastic. So if you overload them the lid won't fit right.

    Great storage solution
    These boxes are well made, and come with lids. The lids close properly but are not airtight. They can be stacked easily, however as they aren't transparent, it will be best to label them and stack them. They're a perfect solution for my messed up garage.

    Great for storing things
    I really like these. They are great for storing just about everything. Just wish the lids snapped on tighter. It seems like enough of a gap on the side that something could crawl in them. The totes can be stacked on top of each other or put side by side with no problem. They also can be labeled easily. Unlike other reviewers I didn't receive mine damaged. They were in perfect condition and they were packaged well. It was easy for me to take them out of the box and use them right away. They are easy to clean and wipe down and I also like the color. They have held up very well so far.
