loving my tv
I bought this TV on black Friday n I must say I love it. It has so many useful features. It has the internet browser I've searched aliexpress, Walmart, hulu and many more they all work well. This Tv comes with the Merlin air mouse remote which I love and it makes browsing the web and YouTube more easier all you have to do is click on the letter way faster than using the standard remote. The quality is good but you do have to tweak it to your liking. It has Android playstore which is a big plus I've downloaded candy crush, dominoes, ninja fruit. All work great. I downloaded BubbleUpnp onto my phone and that allowed me to stream my movies, music, photos, and home videos to my tv. Netflix also works great. This tv is very thin whith a white bezel around it which is very unique. I honestly think this is a great buy especially for $499 with all the features it has you can't go wrong

Amazing look, terrible video quality
I have owned this model for a week a few month ago before I have returned it back to BestBuy. They used to have it for reqular $699 and then all of a sudden started selling them out for $499. The TV looked just amazing. I haven't seen anything like that design-wise in any leading brands. The UI was also very very sleak. It was an Android 4.2 based TV. That's pretty much it on the positive side. My excitement went away prety soon after I have turned the TV on and started watching. The picture was... TERRIBLE. I first thought it was something with that particular TV, but reviewes suggested that seemed to me a common issue this that model. The video was chunky on all inputs including HDTV channels. It felt like the TV didn't have enouth CPU power (or bad algorithms) to render frames fast enough. The thmooth motion engine was too aggressive even on the mideum setting and the worst part was the black level - the black was practically grey and there was almost no shade steps so all dark details were missing on most scenes. Especially bad it looked during daylight. Hisense seem to be a very dynamic company with lots of potential. There were a few exceptional products including older Hisence 50H5 model (discontinued by Wallmart). The bad part about them is that they seem to be working in the R&D lab mode abandoning there receint products in favore of the new ones instead of improving released ones and providing customers with perioding software/firmware updates. Considering notisable price drops on 50"+ TVs throughout last half year (including UHD TVs), this approach of Hisense may deminish their innovative momantum and may turn its customers away to less innovative but more stable and conservative brands. Hope this helps.

    55" Smart HDTV by Hisence
Perfect size for the area. Set up and programming it, was easy. The 1080p makes this TV sharp, and clear for viewing. Video gaming is awesome in graphics.... Only have had it for a couple months... Great Value for the Money....

    Love It
We absolutely love this TV, The picture is spectacular. We had our daughter and her family over for Christmas, and she commented that she never realized Penny on The Big Bang Theory was so pretty, lol. Netflix loads in a matter of seconds, which while I like Chrome-cast streaming on the other TV, I did not realize how slow it loaded until I got this smart TV.

    Just keeps on breaking
I bought this TV as a Father's Day present in 2014, and thought it was a great price and things worked fine for about a year, and then the front panel broke. The tv would turn on, but it would go to a white screen and we would hear sound, but no picture. It happened sporadically at first, turning it off and back on usually solved the issue, but then it was 100% of the time. I called Hisense customer service as the tv was still under warranty and they were helpful, saying that they'd send someone out to my house to fix the issue. After three weeks of crickets, I called again and was told that they were now going to send me a shipping label so that I can box it up and send it to them (the packaging was not included in the coverage, so just a tip, ALWAYS save your tv boxes!) The shipping label took 4 weeks to arrive. At this point we'd been without television for two months and our patience was running whisper thin. We packed it up and shipped it out immediately, hoping that we'd see its return within the same millennium. Thankfully, 7-10 days held true, and we had a working television again in our household, yay! But the excitement was short-lived. Two weeks later, the tv decided it wasn't going to turn on at all. I again called Hisense customer service, refusing to think that my money had gone to waste, only to be put on hold several times until the call dropped. I emailed them and was told that another shipping label was on the way and would arrive in 7-10 days. I'm not sure where the Hisense conversion calculator can be found, but I'm estimating another 3-4 months without a tv in the main living room. With three kids who have already told me the world has ended because Minecraft can't be played and a husband who liked to listen to the tv noise while he looks at his phone instead, I'm ready to go out and purchase a VIZIO since the 32 inch in our playroom has outlasted three toddlers and 5 moves, and it still runs like a champ. You go VIZIO. Won't be purchasing another Hisense. Two stars were for the two weeks I had a fixed tv. At least we had a working picture for Christmas.

Many good features, but not all.
This TV is loaded with some excellent features, but falls short in others: http://televisions.reviewed.com/content/hisense-55h7g-led-tv-review. It's worth doing your research on.
