GREAT value!
Recently purchased online, delivered to my home faster than promised. It arrived in perfect shape and we had it out of the box working in under 30 minutes. Easy to follow on screen directions. The sound quality is fine, and though we anticipated needing a sound bar we don't feel we need one. The picture is fine, and we would recommend this to anyone. We have only used a the Wi-Fi for YouTube and it seems to work great. From what we can tell so far the only Wi-Fi it has are the couple of basic services on it (Like YouTube) but there are 3 HDMI and 2 USB ports that offer options to attach other inputs. The small manual covers the basics, but perhaps there is more information out there on how to get more program/content via Wi-Fi on it. All-in-all we are very pleased with this purchase and would do it again (and probably will).

Terrible
Got this TV about a year ago. This TV went up in smoke literally. Called hisense they said it wasn't under warranty anymore that's not what my papers say. This is the second TV from his ensemble that has went bad on me. To end this Hisense TV''s are TRASH don't waste your money on them...

    You have to play around with this tv
    Overall , this TV is ok/maybe good. The picture is really CLEAR/Sharp, almost like watching a live performance on PBS TV. But my picture was shadowing/lagging at first. I begin to doubt if this TV was 120hz. Then, after playing around with the remote, I came upon an app for the WiFi (along with the other TV setting apps), entered, it initialized and the picture cleared up. No lagging or shadowing. Very, very sharp/clear. It has 3 HDMI ports, 2 USB and other connectors. IT IS A SMART TV, although I'm having a problem opening the Facebook app, says it can't connect to the server. YOUTUBE is on here and it works. I'm using an antenna (along with WiFi), just scan for channels. Hook up to WiFi is easy as long as you know to ENTER YOUR WIFI KEY, although it asks for the password (my WiFi has a key and password). There are different picture/sound settings. Clock and TV guide (for channel being watched). Sound is pretty good, loud if anything. I connected my DVD via the red, white, yellow cables. There are colored ports for the red and white cables, but not a yellow colored port for the yellow cable. It goes into one of the other group of colored ports. Place it in the one marked for visual. YOU WILL NOT GET A PICTURE (DVD) IF YOU DO NOT CONNECT THIS CABLE TO THE RIGHT PORT. Remote included. Frame of the TV is very slender. So far, after "playing" with the TV, it seems to be a good buy for the price. But you get what you pay for.

    Very nice for the price.
    I read the negative reviews first and almost passed on an excellent deal. EVERYTHING was easy to set up and once I calibrated the picture ( presets are ok but not great ) I couldn't be happier with the picture quality. Wifi setup went without a hitch and setting up my accounts was quick and simple. The built in speakers are good but I use a LG sound bar and it worked automatically with the Hisense remote! Speaking of remotes, download the android app for Hisense and all basic functions can be controlled from your phone or tablet. I have only one gripe with the set. The display is so sharp that it is difficult to get movies to look like movies and not soap operas. Time will tell if this was a truly smart buy.

    Horrible...Just Horrible
    i brought this tv for my mother back in Feburary and now the back light has gone out. I sent the tv to Hisense USA in Georgia for repair, i wait a few days and call to check on the tv, then they tell me that they would just send a replacement. Here it is almost two weeks later and still no replacement. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! I wish I just put the extra $100 with it and got my mom a Vizio or Samsung.

    Don't waste your $$$
    Don't waste your time or your money. The TV worked fine for a few months but then the issues began. First, the remote sensor would stop working and you have to unplug the TV to get it to reset. Then it would stop receiving the HD signal from the cable box and you lose sound and it gets all choppy.

    Hard to beat for the price
    I found one of these at a local store for the clearance price of $350 and for that price I couldn't be happier. The picture is great, and I'm thoroughly impressed by the sound quality. My old 40" TV I had to use a speaker bar with just to hear people talking. This thing on 10 (out of 40) is dang loud and clear. Netflix works great. I run over wireless but it also has a wired port. I have a few niggles about this unit though. The Opera App store is woefully lacking in anything useful. I was hoping to find Plex or some other DLNA media player to I can watch my movies on my NAS. With the built in player I can connect to my NAS, and browse it and see everything, but it will not play ANY file. Some files say media not supported, others will show the play screen withe the onscreen controls, but the image is black and it freezes the TV for a minute. This leads me to my other gripe with this TV. I can't fit my Amazon Fire Stick in it. The HDMI 1 and 2 ports are slighly blocked at the bottom of the case so you can't fit the stick in to the HDMI ports. HDMI 3 I can fit the stick in, but there isn't room for the USB power connector since the stick is almost flush against the casing. I'm trying to find the little extension that came with the stick, but I want the TV itself to be able to do the DNLA media playing.

    Fantastic picture..sound is like the rest pretty much..will be getting a sound bar..super thin bezel makes it as if you are looking out your window..like you could get into the action..retail was 498.00..selling for 348.00 at Walmart..could not pass up at that price..now the con..unable to get Comcast remote to assume tv's remote..even Comcast, after 40 minutes of trying codes, could do no good..so i use 2 remotes..oh well..i would still have bought it for everything else it offers.

    Hisense my new Favorite product!
    The TV is super thin, has a stylish, high quality remote w/built in smart tv features. Hisense is a great experience out of the box. The Sound is nice. The Picture Quality is superior. I give my 100% seal of approval. This TV has a 1,000,000: 1 contrast ratio, and actually does 480hz! (These things aren't advertised) This LED has very deep, pure Black Levels, unlike I've seen before. Oh, and this TV outputs in 5.1 PCM optical audio!! It saved me from having to buy a new receiver. Also, charges & plays iPod thru the media player via USB.

    50" Smart TV under $500!!!! Wow
    So this is a 50" smart TV under $500 and that is an amazing deal. This is the first Hisense we have purchased and so far I must say it's worth the money. It looks a little smaller in the store, and even the box says 49.5" display, but this thing has a super slim bezel that makes it look a little smaller than most. It's super light for hanging it on the wall, and the stand for on an entertainment center is well thought out. It will sit on an entertainment center and not rock at all. The setup is a breeze as it asks you questions from the start, and the Wi-Fi setup was easy as well. The picture is adjustable, and has some default settings. Ours looked a ton better than the setting that had set in the store! The thing that actually amazed me was the speaker quality because normally slim TV's have horrible speakers. This TV is in a bedroom, but has plenty of sound and I never heard any distortion even at higher listening levels. The Remote was also a great remote with dedicated buttons for the smart functions. We were up and running on Netflix in about 5 minutes from start to finish of TV setup. Over all I am impressed with this TV and would recommend it to anyone. We also purchased the extended warranty from Wal-Mart just in case, but hopefully will never have to use it.
