Great boots
I used them primarily for yard work and winter snow removal. I like the color as the dirt is not easily noticed. I got a size higher as I tend to wear 2 socks when removing snow. No issues what so ever with the boots. A little bit heavy but it provides protection.

Well-Constructed, But With Major Flaw
The Boulder 6-inch Steel Toe Work Boot is – with one critical exception – a well-constructed, sturdy boot. As its name indicates, it has 6-inch-high sides that provide support and protection for one's ankles (the manufacturer's description of the boot states that this enables one to “run for long-distances” in it, but this is not footwear that would be enjoyable to run in). The boot has a full grain, waterproof upper and a slip and oil-resistant rubber outsole to help with traction. The boot is generally comfortable to wear, but not necessarily to walk in. The only major deficiency with the boot – at least based on my experience -- is that its steel toe severely chafed the top of a toe on each foot. The steel toe is separated from one's foot on the boot's inside only by the boot's normal inside lining, rather than with some padding. Furthermore, the edge of the steel toe at the boot's instep protrudes downward. This resulted in that slightly lined edge of the steel toe repeatedly rubbing against the top of a toe in each boot when I walked. It took less than 30 minutes of walking to chafe away part of the skin on both toes. I do not know whether this is due to the configuration of my particular boots and/or toes, but having some padding on the boot's inside under the steel toe or wearing thick socks might solve the problem. Otherwise the boots are unusable for sustained walking.

    Best Boots
These boots are waterproof, oil resistant, slip resistant and have a steel toe. I have a pair that have lasted over seven years. It is a good quality boot for the price.

    Strong and Sturdy
The Herman Survivors Men's Steel Toe Work boot is not only strong and sturdy but the heal support is a great touch as well. I used my work boots for moving and they came in very handy when the washer was "accidently" resting on my foot, I didn't hardly feel a thing, the steel toe, is durable and is a perfect fit for doing heavy lifting or real construction work. I feel these boots can helpfully secure the wearer to get any task done, whether it be protecting your foot or supporting it, to give you a long lasting boot that can hold up to the elements be that rain or sunshine. The Herman Survivors Steel Toe Work boots can get the job done!

    Good for the price....
These are the Herman Survivors Steel Toe work boots - darker brown. FYI - They also have lighter tan color, I like the brown, it hides dirt better, but color is a personal choice. These are actual leather work boots with steel toes. They have all the basic features you would want from a work boot: Steel toe, waterproof, leather outer, slip resistant soles and comfortable inner soles. For under $50, so far, they are great boots and feel & look like they should last a very long time. If they can last a year of daily wear, you can't beat them. If they last longer than that, they are some of the best boots available for the money. Of course only time will tell.

Herman Survivors Boulder 6" Work Boots
These Herman boots look very sharp, with a nice shape and good detailing. I've only worn these boots once, so I can't make any comments about their durability over the long term. These boots remind me a bit of a pair of Khombu boots I got at Costco, but the Hermans seem to be built for heavier duty. I wore these new Hermans to work on Casual Friday, but that only entailed walking from the parking garage to my office and sitting behind a desk all day. The footbeds are quite comfortable, though I could maybe use just a little more arch support. I often have issues with any shoes that rise above the ankles cutting into my Achilles heel, but this design is very comfortable in that regard. I took a chance and ordered these shoes a half size smaller than I normally wear - since they were out of my exact size, hoping they might run a little large - and they ended up fitting almost perfectly. Overall, these are nice boots at a reasonable price.

Best work boot I've ever owned
Extremely comfortable, great traction, and not too mention but it looks pretty good as well. This boot fits as expected, doesn't dig into your skin anywhere and maintains good arch support. Light enough to wear shopping and seems strong enough to handle hard activity. Good work shoes.

Herman Boulders - good work boots
Herman Survivors Boulder Work Boots The Herman Survivors Boulder Work Boots for Men are well-made, performance-oriented and affordable, making them suitable for a wide range of customers that need this type of work boot. The primary features are: • Light weight • Anti-fatigue comfort system • Anti-microbial treatment • Eco-friendly • Steel toes • Waterproof • Slip & Oil resistant sole plate • Wide width • Enduro Pro foot bed for comfort The Boulder series boot is a 6” boot with genuine leather uppers in combination with man-made materials. The boot is reported as rugged and long-lasting. The pricing point is < $50, making this affordable and in competition with other boots in this class. While this is a very good boot, I found that the width was narrow in the middle and fore foot areas and that the length is a bit short. Perhaps a ½ size larger is better? And it might be better to try these boots in the shoe area if available. After wearing them for about a week for working around the yard, they are a very good and comfortable work boot. I like them. I recommend this product and give it ***** (5) stars.

    Comfortable Boot and Fit
These boots were very comfortable to wear right out of the box! They were true to size and not heavy wearing like some others!A nice lightweight boot even with the steel toe! They look good, are very comfortable and easy to wear all day! If there is a down side to the boots they are a little warm for use on hot days but not overbearing, will make a great boot in the cooler wet weather as they are warm and water proof

    Excellent boots
I got these boots to work around my 20 acre farm. I cut trees with a chainsaw for firewood, garden, do yard work, and build things around my place. I always use steel toe boots for safety and ordered these to use around my farm. I have owned a number of national brand boots before and always have a hard time getting a comfortable boot that fits well for a hard day of labor. These boots are awesome. They feel as if they have a cushion insole (though I don't know if they do or not) and are exceedingly comfortable. They held up well during the workday too. I would highly recommend these. They one thing I would change is to add a bit longer lace. I always double tie my bow and these are a bit short for that but manageable. The comfort, though, is great and offsets any concerns about anything else.
