Wonderful deal and Super design It's Great
TOP OF THE LINE MIXEr This is the best mixer since I'm 68 all that I can say that the quality and love the glass so heavy I will never worry about it breaking like the last one did. It's totally awesome to get it at such a low price it's just amazing so all that matters is that it looks as good as it works. Really wowed me so thank you for my new mixer hope to enjoy it for ever since I had the other one 35 years and it broke. Enough said. Carmen P Self

noisy
This machine does not chop at all. The only option that worked( with my using a spatula to assist) is liquefy. Not like I was trying to make anything exotic all I wanted was to make tuna salad, and I had already pre-chopped the onions and the celery. And oh my God is this machine noisy.

    a piece of junk
It can't do anything unless you put a lot of liquid to blend with. It even can't puree strawberries, bananas or similar soft things. The main reason is that the bottom of the glass bowl has the wrong shape so that things will always float to the sides and are not chopped by the knife in the center. I think this is a design flaw of the product.

    Great blender!
I usually wouldn't rave about a blender, but I use them to make my own frappucino-drinks so ripping up ice cubes is important. This Hamilton Beach really shreds!! It's got a 4-bladed ripper in the bottom that really does the job. This blender has only 4 buttons -- 2 that you "pulse" (you have to hold them), and 2 that lock-in when you push them. Believe me -- that's all you need! Ya' don't need a blender with 8-12 buttons. This blender seemed small to me at first, but it's huge. The shape of the glass pitcher deceives you. It's shorter & fatter, and very stable if you need to set the pitcher down on your counter or table. The whole unit is heavy, solid & stable. The lid is great, too, because it fits tight (no leaks), and the fliip-up opening is large enough to be VERY useful, as long as your smoothee, shake or frap is blended smooth enough to pour. Great deal on a great blender. Walmart shipped it to me in Afghanistan!

    Standard blender for basic needs
Was looking for simple blender to help make healthy smoothies after a gym session. This one will do the trick. There are different buttons that suggest different styles of blending. They just vary in speed and power...nothing else... The one slight issue I have with it is durability. I use it quite often (about 4 times a week) and already after a month of ownership, the blades are not cutting as finely as they did when I first bought it. Ultimately, if you are looking for a blender that you use once a week to do basic blending, this would work. BUT, if you are looking for full-time blender to cut the contents of your refrigerator down to size (metaphorically speaking), I would go for something a little more robust. p.s. Instructions says other models come with food chopping accessory. Try and find that one if you can, as this one didn't come with it :-(

So far, so good. Will report back again later.
This review is based strictly on how the blender rates on paper as I haven't actually used it yet. However, I can tell you this. This blender, which I believe is only available online, is the probably best value in Walmart amongst all the other Hamilton Beach blenders and other manufacturers. I can conclude this because based on two key facts: 1. It has the biggest motor, 700 Watts, of all the blenders, regardless of their price, and oddly, this is either the least expensive or one of the least expensive blenders you can buy! If you've ever made ice drinks, you know that motor power is everything to avoid jams and start-overs, so 700 Watts is the best you can find in the under $50 price range. Ninjas have more power, but they start at about $90, not $25. This is a great product for the money. You'll note that most of the more expensive blenders for sale on the shelf costing $30 to $50 only have 350-450 Watt motors, so you do the math. 2. This blender has a solid glass pitcher unit for durablility, cleanliness, clarity, etc. A lot of unit have plastic pitchers. It also has a unique no spill spout.

    Good for the Price
I was a little concerned at first because it didn't seem to blend the spinach leaves as well but when I added more water it worked fine. It also does a good job blending frozen fruit for smoothies - again you need to have enough liquid to blend well.

    Hamilton Beach Power Elite Blender
I bought the blender mainly for the power of the motor and for making smoothies and slushies. It is absolutely wonderful. We use this blender several times a day and the ice crushing capacity if amazing. I recommend it to anyone who likes frozen drinks. I've not used it for anything else yet but with a motor that powerful I am sure I won't have any problems. Great buy for the price.

I will be returning this product this weekend. While this blender does have a very strong motor at 700 watts, its really a waste of a large motor. It is very loud and sounds like it will burn out quickly. For all the high wattage of the motor it barely mixes or blends or chops or does anything it is supposed to do. When making my morning smoothie there are chunks of fruit throughout. This is a very poor product design. I have a Hamilton Beach personal blender that is much smaller but does a much better job of blending and even grinding and also of blending in chunks of fruit into smoothies.

    Best blender for the price
The price of the blender is very cheap but not the blender itself. It blends/mixes/chops really well. I tried making few smoothies, few fruit juices. They all came really well. I also used it to chop vegetables using the pulse mode as well as mix batter. The cleaning part is also quite simple. The glass jar is very sturdy and makes things quite easy to store in the refrigerator directly with contents.
