Priced Right & Does the Job!
I needed one of these to make a batch of apple butter. I used Walmart's "Site-To-Store" feature, and drove a couple of miles and picked the item up. It's easy to use, durable, easy to clean, and no "down side" at all. Very happy with my purchase.

Horrible experience
Using the whip was a disaster! It wobbled so bad that whipped cream flew all over my kitchen , cover me , dripped down cabinets and all appliances within 10 feet ! How could something this bad be sold!

    I love this immersion blender! I have wanted one for so long and you can't really go wrong with Hamilton Beach. It has a whisk attachment and a blend. It's perfect for blending veggies into sauces or soups

    Incomplete Set
    It didn't come with the whisk attachment in the box! Customer service refunded me, but buyers beware if you are hoping to gift it. Ensure it has all its parts. I have yet to use it but once I do I'll update this review.

    just use your handheld mixer or buy one
    a full sized handheld mixer is quieter and really does not do the mixing job well. i was just using it to dissolve jello in hot water and it just did jot do thentrick on that or a protien shake.

    In the beginning, it would stop blending even in water and it smelled hot. We decided to just let it burn up and it stopped freezing up and blends fine now, but it still smells from it over heating. As soon as i can I'm going to get a different brand and toss this one out.

    Blends and lets you get high on burning plastic
    I use it about once or twice every other week and have had it less for a month. It was fine when I got it but its start to really heat-up and is releasing a scent of burning plastic. Again these are for very brief 1 minute blends. While it worked fine with none of these problems before, its starting to get really concerning now. I mean, you hold this thing. What are you going to do with it decides to blow in your face or catches fire? While it works I feel the fact that this problem started barely a month after small time use really shows this product is cheap and poorly made. Maybe save up and get a more reliable device.

    Not ideal
    I read the reviews and decided to buy this blender anyway, in part because I needed one immediately. It's not ideal. Like some other buyers have reported, the blender creates a suction that makes it stick to the bottom of the container it's being used in. I tried to keep it away from the bottom, but it kept happening anyway. Trying to move it away from the bottom of the container once the suction happens results in liquid splattering everywhere even more than normal. I expected this based on the reviews, and stuck the shaft through a paper plate as a makeshift lid/shield against splatter. I still ended up with soup all over me and my kitchen in addition to the paper plate being totally covered in it. The only way to actually prevent the splatter is to let go of the button and let the blender turn off before you remove it, but the suction happens almost instantly, so that isn't much help in terms of actually blending the food. You can leave the blender where it is for a bit once it gets “stuck” to the bottom of the container, but it vibrates so much against the surface it's stuck to that I was afraid it would damage either the surface of the pot I was using or the blender itself. The depth of the liquid I was blending was probably about 5 inches, and unfortunately it seems like it would need to be deeper in order for this blender to work well, which isn't very realistic in many applications.

    Broken on first use
    Bought this to make mayo with. I started using it but nothing seemed to be happening. I finally took it out and looked at the blade and turned it on and it wasnt spinning. Took the piece off and it is little plastic ridges that make it spin. All of them had been stripped bare. Right out of the box, I put it on and turned it to the locked position and it stripped the plastic pieces out. This thing is literal garbage. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra for a good one. I will be returning this.

    More bang for your buck, light, reliable, very well made has two attachments, may be possible to order more according to the manual, love this little hand blender, quick and easy to clean and useits worth it.

    Powerful!
    This is a powerful tool. I used it for the first time last night and was very impressed with the power and how comfortable it fits in my hand. I have carpal tunnel and other problems so I was a little hesitant to purchase but, I had no problems. I've never had an immersion blender before and I have no regrets about purchasing this one. I'm excited to use it many more times. I would recommend purchasing.
