the numbers wont show
I was ecxited when it came in the mail but then when i plugged it in and i tried setting up the clock th numbers wouldnt show on the number pad or the screen and i even tried the timer and the numbers would not show on the screen.I followed the instructions and everything but it wouldnt work

    Remember 700 watts isn't as strong as 1000 watts
    This is a nice microwave “but” remember it's only 700 watts so don't complain when you are use to a 1000 watt because there is a big difference! I have to constantly remind everyone that we knew this when we were purchasing it so add more time for heating and defrosting. It would be nice if it had a 30 second button but it doesn't so they have to deal with it.

    Looks great. Easy to use.
    It's a microwave and it does what it's supposed to do. The technology hasn't changed in years. However, this one differs from the one I had before in the way the door was opened: I had to tug on it, which jerked the whole unit forward--so it took two hands, one to pull the door open and one to keep the oven from being pulled off the counter. This one has a nice largish pad you gently push and the door pops open. I love it.

    It is small and i would recommend you pick it up from site to store that way you can avoid dents.

    this microwave is AWESOME..... 1....cheap....$38 2....no shipping.....site to store 3....fits perfectly on my countertop 4....takes little space 5....black color is beautiful. 6....has a clock 7....should of brought it sooner 8....very fancy looking for such a low cost 9.....went far above my expectations 10....walmart was the best price for the product.

    Good Microwave for a Cheap Budget
    The microwave is good for the price, and it is small. Although its size is smaller than I'm used to, it fits most of our dinner plates, even our large platter plates, which surprised me! The description forgets to describe the defrost features; it has two: 'Defrost By Weight' and 'Speed Defrost'. I haven't tried the speed defrost, yet. However, I am glad the microwave has a defrost mechanism. When I bought it, I forgot to check for defrost abilities, and I was sad when I logged onto walmart.com to check the description and found no detail about it. For the price and its size, this microwave works very well. It is great for the office or college dorm. However, I bought our microwave to replace our large, $200 one that, after four years or so, developed an electrical short. This tiny microwave performs just as good, even without all of the fancy gadgets of the larger one. The good thing about its size, is that it doesn't take up too much counter space. However, I do have a con or two. It took me a while to learn how to use the timer. I followed the instructions, and when I pressed start after selecting Timer and inserting the time needed, it started cooking instead of counting the time. Another thing I don't like is after you do set the timer, the screen returns to the clock, so you cannot keep track of the time or know if you really did set the timer. I guess I am still use to my old microwave in that sense. All in all, this is a very good microwave despite its size and flaws. It's good for someone like me, who is on a budget and can't buy anything more expensive.

    Ok, so it's dirt cheap. How much are you really expecting out of it? Not much. But you will be surprised. Power is nothing to write home about, but it does the job well. Instead of heating something for say 1.5 minutes in a range microwave, here it takes a minute 40 seconds. So power is not optimum, but more than decent. Looks sleek and pretty great. The buttons are not as luxurious as the rest of the chassis, but more than adequate. The biggest drawback is that to open the door, you require more pressure than the weight of the unit. So when you push the open button, the whole unit moves back before being able to open it. If you have this on a counter, this is a non-issue wince it will rest against the wall. I have it in my office over a fridge... Good little unit and well worth the money!

    Great production for a great price
    I bought this microwave after my Sharp Carousel (which we owned for about 8 years) finally broke. I did not have high expectations for this production, based on the reviews for other Hamilton Beach microwaves. But I am extremely satisfied with this purchase. It is not a huge microwave, but it works very well. We have not encountered any problems in the time we have had it. It pops microwave popcorn perfectly, although I had to reduce the preset time for popcorn. The microwave comes with instructions for adjusting the preset cooking times. I LOVE this feature. The description does not state this, but the microwave comes with a carousel. I would definitely recommend this microwave.

    Perfect for campers and small spaces.
    My husband travels for his business so in order to lower expenses he uses a 27' travel trailer to accommodate him. This microwave is perfect for him since he doesn't have enough kitchen space for blenders, toaster ovens, mixers and other household appliances normally found in our kitchen at home. This microwave will allow him to reheat leftovers from a restaurant from the night before or let him cook a frozen entré from the store. This microwave has all the features that our big expensive microwave at home has, the wattage is slightly lower, but not enough to be concerned about, it will still get the job done nicely.
