Beautiful laptop
The laptop arrives well packages in a sleek black box with a handle. Even receiving it was a positive addition to the experience. Unboxing was easy and setup trouble free. You have the option of a voice guided setup or a do it yourself route for those more tech friendly. I'd say our family is of the tech friendly category but we used the voice guided method because it was fun. The display is crystal clear. The sharpness and vibrant color display is like none I've seen. The device is fully setup and connected to WiFi in minutes. The processing speed is really fast. We transitioned from files to web, etc.. with no delays. The backlit keyboard is set up well. I can be picky about the placement of the keys, especially if the cause me to do something I don't want to. There were no issues at all with keys not in ideal spots. The laptop itself is very attractive and super thin. I loved that the screen can fold back to tuck under the keyboard when using in touch screen mode. Memory could be a little large but can be easily rectified with an SD card or by using the cloud. I am very pleased with the HP Envy. I highly recommend this laptop to those wanting to upgrade, starting out new or giving as a gift.

Modern Style
Opening the box is your standard HP packing. Pc came with some of the battery charged which is convenient to start set up easily. From hitting power to fully set up took less than 4 mins. Really quick compared to other units. This X360 comes with a large 512gb Solid State Drive powered with an Intel latest Gen i7- and it shows! Once setup and powered down, doing a cold boot took it only 12 seconds from hitting power to on the desktop ready to go. The storage is smaller than cheaper laptops on the market that often come with a 1TB drive, but the performance of the SSD can't be beat. The display is a 15.6” touch display with minimal bezel so a lot more touch surface. The x360 line is fantastic since the screen can flip to different angles or even flip all the way back to lay flat like a tablet. The system automatically goes into “Tablet mode” when flipped back making interface much smoother. The convenience of choosing the angle or position of the laptop gives a wider variety to work. Backlit keyboard is a very nice feature especially in not as well lit work environments. I highly recommend this! It's a small feature but is more handy once you have it. The battery claims to last as long as 12hrs. I found between streaming videos, word processing, browsing the web, and working with Photoshop I got approximately 10hrs of run time which is very impressive. So I wouldn't be surprised if a charge would last most of the day for average user if not two days. Pros: -very fast performance -convertible screen for different work styles -multitouch display that's very accurate -backlit keyboard feature Cons: -screen gets warm running in tablet mode after 30-40 mins. -Audio is not ideal for running sound at louder setting (sounds tinny despite the B&O speakers, but sounds great with headphones so maybe external BT speaker if you need public audio). -Web cam is not bad but for people that need higher quality stick with dedicated external webcam for recording/streaming video. -No dedicated graphics card

Amazing Laptop/ Just as Good Customer Service
I've purchased a few Laptops in my time, I have to say this one takes the cake! Display has perfect brightness it's really snappy and there isn't hardly any delay and my Internet is not very good. The small bezel makes the 15.6" screen seem even a little bigger IMO. Backlit keyboard is great! Has two different brightness settings plus turn it completely off if you like. I can't speak for the other sellers but I chose to go with "On Point Deals" and couldn't be happier!!! Some of the best customer service I've delt with in awhile. This is my honest opinions about them and the product and there wasn't any promotion for these opinions... I can't swear that every customer would be completely happy with this but majority should be.

    You will love this one
Converting me to an HP laptop; there are some great features with this Envy line. This, like my previous laptop is a convertible. That means I can have it in one of three positions. Clam shell (laptop), Tent (movie watching), & as a tablet (reading). This computer does exceptionally well at all three. If you're looking for a strong & fast computer for work or school this model of the Envy line is a great choice for you. There are plenty of apps & games that work great with this. I too have my personal favorites. It's ready to go out of the box. Though this is pretty heavy for a tablet, at 4.6 pounds, it sure has some room. I would like it to be lighter. Not that four pounds is heavy, just not something you want to hold on a long day. I can nearly view a whole "sheet" of paper in one of the many text editors. That is fantastic when you're trying to do reports or make spread sheets on the fly. Heck, even as an E-Reader this is large. The images & text are clear & bright. I can write notes on them, or insert them in normally. This laptop has some great features. The Bang & Olufsen speakers are an awesome addition. Nice & clean. The microphone picks up whispers, making real time communication (VOLP) a real pleasure. It has a headphone jack if you want to keep it more quiet. The fingerprint scanner is nice, I just have to get used to sliding my clean finger properly the way it wants me to; good thing there is a pin back up. The large print back lit keyboard is right there for you to clearly see in low light or bright sunshine. It's (nearly) a full size keyboard, with a number pad & positioning arrows. The keys are a pleasure to type with too. I am writing this review on the computer, & it's super smooth. I'm not going to bother people with noisy clicking, as these keys are quiet. They aren't silent, that's another type, just quiet. Streaming on this is flawless! I am surprised that with it clocking in at 1.8 Ghz, this laptop really flies. I want to keep using it, because it is such a pleasure to use. The Bluetooth on this computer is fantastic & ultra super fast. I have been swapping files between my phone, my wifi router & tower computer while writing this review. The small files under a gig, were done before I could flip back to this text editor. That's speed for a computer, let alone blue tooth! Quick access, easy on & off, a decent battery life; these are all things that make this computer stand above other ones. Having the power button tucked in & needing to be pushed & held is a great feature if you've ever bumped your power off. The touch pad is very nice, offset to the left so there is less of a chance bumping it while typing. The USB ports are snug but not tight. The HDMI outlet projects very well & quite clearly. As with any new computer, you can set up the second monitor (TV) to be as large or as small as you like; also. Eight gigs of RAM allows me to edit videos, & super huge images with out the computer choking or stalling. The 512 gig SSD drive has the computer booted & ready to go instantly, with plenty of space to add software & files. It doesn't run hot, so you can slip it into a bag or sleeve & not have those concerns. The clam shell hinges are solid & very fluid. The lid stays in place & doesn't bounce around like some others can. The touchscreen is magnificent & very precise. You can draw on it quite easily.

    This thing zooms!
I believe the HP Envy X360 is at the top of the line of HP laptops and I can see why. This thing is fast. Fast to load, fast to play games and just very quick generally. 512 gigs is the largest SSD drive I've seen on a laptop. The description states the color is dark ash silver. It's more like a bronzish-brown to me with purple backlighting under the keys. You can even change the brightness of the backlight. Setup was easy. No one enjoys setting up a new computer. At least I don't. It's always asking you to input information and when it's a new version of the operating system you're not familiar with, you never know if you're doing something right or wrong that you won't be able to change later. Cortana, the voice enabled assistant led me through set up for this and it was painless. Although I will admit I kept trying to get the track pad to read my fingerprint for a time because I didn't know the fingerprint reader was on the side of the computer. By the way, the fingerprint access and pin access is cool. Better than a password I'll forget any day. The screen is glossy and super responsive to touch. Photos are beautiful. The sound is excellent with some help from Bang & Olufsen. Even at only 50% volume they are loud. Much louder than my old laptop's speakers. The 360 can be used as a laptop, tablet, touch screen or you can tent it to watch videos. It's too big to work as a tablet, at least it is for me. I still haven't gotten used to the keyboard. The track pad is huge and always seems to be in the way so I end up hitting it when I don't mean to. I actually found the track pad too frustrating and hooked up a wireless mouse instead. Battery life was a bit disappointing. I charged to 100% and then installed programs, watched some videos and played music with the battery set at highest performance and in three hours, I was down to 38%. This was really pushing the limits of multitasking and it would do better if the battery was set to a lower performance level, but I was surprised by how quickly the battery went down so I'll have to experiment with it to get longer life. There's so many apps/programs and features on this computer that I discover new ones every time I turn it on. Even 3D rendering. It's definitely for the person who demands a lot from a laptop. This one could take the place of a desktop, it's that powerful. Add a portable hard drive and your creativity will have no limits.

    Lightening fast !
I am certainly not a computer geek, but have owned several laptops over the years and have a base for comparison. I am happy to be able to give my honest review of the 15.6-inch HP Envy x 360 2-in-1 laptop. This laptop runs on Windows 10 home 64 operating system and is 8th generation. It has a Solid-State Drive, which makes it faster and allows for more storage than the previous Hard Disk Drives. I have not experienced lag time when opening up several window tabs and multitasking. It moves lightning fast! It charges in a flash and starts up in seconds. I used and appreciated the Cortana feature to get started. She talks you through the setup, which involves creating a PIN and logging into Microsoft. I mostly file & edit pictures, surf the web, check my email and keep up with current events with occasional spreadsheet activity. For this, the battery life is excellent. Advertised for 10-12 hours. I used it quite a bit for 2 days and didn't have to charge it again until day three. The screen is quite large, 15.6 and the picture clarity is premium, in my opinion. The speakers are Bang & Olufsen, which are supposed to be superior. I jammed it up on you tube music just to get the full experience and I am impressed with the sound quality too. One of the best features is the ability to use this as a laptop or flip and fold at the hinge & use the screen as a tablet. It is a touch screen (which is very smooth, not over sensitive) or you can use a stylus. I previously owned and HP laptop that had the 2-in-1 about 4-5 years ago, but the hinges were flimsy and it ended up breaking at the hinge. The HP Envy x 360 has quality improvements in the hinge area and it looks plenty sturdy enough to withstand a lot of flipping for tablet use. It is thin light, 4.7 lbs. When operating, it is not noisy at all! No loud fans on this one and yet, it doesn't get hot either. The only negative thing I can say about this HP Envy x 360 is that the screen has a glass glare to it that is noticeable when in a well lit area. Other than that, it is an impressive, state of the art laptop/tablet and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to purchase a 2-in-1 system.

    Great overall performance and design
I have not had this laptop for very long, but so far it's been a solid performer and exactly what I'd hoped for. With 8 GB of RAM and 512 GB SSD, this machine is very fast to startup and is ready to go in about 10 seconds. I went from an Intel Core i5 CPU to an i7 with this one and it's a lot faster. On the left side of the laptop you've got your power connector, USB 3 port, power button, exhaust vent, headset/microphone combo jack, and an SD card reader. On the right side there's the volume up/down button, fingerprint reader, USB Type-C port, USB 3 port, and a standard HDMI port. Unfortunately, there is no optical (DVD/CD) drive, so you'll need to invest in an external optical drive if needed. This is a 2-in-1 laptop, so there are several different ways to use it. The first is your traditional laptop mode, which is pretty self-explanatory. Then, if you bend the display back with the keyboard facing down, it'll be in stand mode. Here you can play touch-based games or watch movies. Next is the tent mode, where you can show off your videos and photos or use it for video conferencing. Last, the display is folded flush with the bottom of the laptop, turning it into a tablet. As you bend the screen back you'll be asked if you want to switch to tablet mode, then it'll allow you to use it vertically or horizontally. In this mode, the computer's keyboard is disabled and everything is optimized for touch, so you can use your laptop without a mouse or keyboard. I don't use it this way very often, as the size and weight of this laptop make it kind of cumbersome to use in tablet mode. The build quality is solid and the hinges appear to be well constructed. With convertible laptops I feel like the weakest part are the hinges, so durability is important and these seem very sturdy to me. The keyboard has a nice, solid feel to it. I like that it has the backlit keys for when I'm working in low light. If you don't care for this feature, you can easily turn it off or just dim the light with the touch of the F5 button. It also has a numeric keypad, but I had to go into the Ease of Access settings in order to get the num lock to work. There is an option to "Turn on Mouse Keys to use the numeric keypad to move the mouse" and it was on. When I turned it off, the num lock button works so I can now use the numeric pad. The fingerprint reader is very responsive and once you've set it up, it's a super fast way of logging in. This laptop runs very cool and the fans are nice and quiet. Sound is good (for a laptop) and the speakers volume level is plenty loud. The display is bright and clear, though the glossy finish can be quite reflective. If you're working near a bright window this could be an annoyance. The battery life is pretty average, I only got about 5-6 hours of use before I had to plug it back in. I was watching a lot of videos though and did have the screen brightness all the way up, so lowering that and turning off the backlit keys would probably give you better results. The AC adapter for this laptop can get very hot, at least until charging is complete. Once it's done charging it's fine, so it isn't much of a concern to me. The included windows ink workspace is a pretty awesome feature and lots of fun to use! I can see using this in tablet mode with the pen that can be purchased separately. If you don't have a pen (like me), you can still draw using a mouse or your fingers. You can change some of the settings by clicking on the 'pen' symbol (bottom right) and then click on the settings at the bottom. There you can choose which hand you write with (right or left), font sizes and style, pen shortcut customizations and lots more. The Ink Workspace button is also where you will find Sticky Notes. One thing I really like about the sticky notes, is that I can quickly type in an address, click on that address and then have the windows map app open up to show me that address. I can then find directions on how to get there. It's pretty useful especially if you're in too big of a hurry to open the map app. You can also have Cortana create reminders based off your notes, but to get this to work you need to open the settings and enable insights. Overall, I'm very pleased with the performance of this laptop. It works great for all my needs and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a good 2-in-1.

    HP Envy X360-AWESOME!
I am not a tech expert but I work with computers every day so I can handle basics. This laptop arrived and it was ready to go in 20 minutes. Everything you need is already installed. There are so many amazing features that I have not even begun to discover them all. This bad boy is fast, very thin, has a large screen, can be used as an iPad with a touch screen, voice and webcam. It has windows already loaded and comes with free one year trials of Microsoft office and McAfee virus protection. It folds backwards so you can lay it flat. My grandkids played with this for hours. With the touch screen we played all the apps I downloaded. I can not say enough great things about this computer. The Windows Ink Workspace is new to me and we snipped coloring book photos and the grandkids colored them with the touch screen. Endless possibilities. The HP Envy X360 is truly something to be envied. Love it!

    In LOVE with this computer!
This HP Envy X360 Laptop is a dream to use. I received it yesterday and I've been using it non-stop ever since. This computer has so many cool features, I don't know how I've done without them for so long. First, the appearance is sleek, thin and very stylish. It is in an Ash Silver but closer to black. It measures 15.6 inches which a great size for viewing your favorite movies or games on, to say nothing of typing a word document on a full HD screen. The graphics are outstanding! It has a huge 8 GB for storing lots of documents, photos, and music. There is a lighted, backlit keyboard which I really appreciate with my 'older eyes'. I have been running Windows 7 on my old laptop and was concerned about the transition to Windows 10 but it was a breeze. Such cool features! This computer almost sets itself up and with the talking navigation, it took minutes and not hours like other computer set-ups I've done. I am a transcriptionist so the keyboard is very important to me. This keyboard seems to be easier and quicker to use than my old PC. Although it is larger than I'm used to, every key on the keyboard is in reach with little effort. My fingers just sail across it. Very impressive! This HP Envy X360 is a 2-in-1 which means you can fold the screen back and use it as a tablet. What a great feature, I'm sure I'll be using that often. Again, the set-up was a breeze and I downloaded the Microsoft Office 365 and it is also amazing. I was, of course, running an older version of Office and you cannot compare the two. I am in COMPUTER HEAVEN! Another great HP product.
