Laptop runs great! It is exactly as pictured and has amazing graphics and runs perfectly. Only downfall would be that the battery doesn't tend to last as long as they say, but still lasts for a decent amount of time. Other then that it is exactly what I wanted. Thank-you.

Doesn't pass the test of time.
was a great puter, but barely made it a year before I had to put a bunch of money into replacing fans and misc other parts to try and keep it running. Finally gave up. No more HP's for me.

    performance, Price, Storage
Although I didn't buy this laptop for it price, space and performance i would recommend it especially for 500$ USD it's more than a great price though it does sacrifice some stuff such as using a hard drive.

Had the laptop for about 2 years, still works well
I bought this laptop back in December of 2018 for about $479, still haven't had any issues. I play games like Fortnite, CSGO, Valorant, and other Steam Games, and it runs smoothly. I use an external 144hz monitor which enhances my gaming experience. I also added another stick of DDR4 RAM (2666mhz) to help with memory usage and games that use a lot of memory (like Modern Warfare). The only problem ive had is overheating. I have an extra cooling pad, ive undervolted, and Ive underclocked it (using ThrottleStop at startup) and it still runs at around 80F (Ive optimized my pc for full performance and gaming by following Fr33thys A-Z series on YouTube). Even though Ive seen other people have problems with this laptop, I really have had no problems whatsoever and for $480, this was a killer deal.

    Good laptop (read all)
Love this laptop and i have had it for a year! The bummer is that is has a hard drive is not an ssd so pretty recently the hard drive broke and i had to replace it. The one inside i would not recomend so i would buy a samsung 860 evo and put it in yourself becuase it isnt that hard to do and is quite fun actually. After puting in the ssd you will be able to have good speeds for literly everything. It comes with an ok graphics card for today. If your playing some newer games it should handle them at high 60fps no problem. The fans are ok and sometimes the computer gets really hot depending on game. The hardest game ive played on it is probably destiny 2 or battlefield 5 which both was on ultra nearing 70-80 fps with ssd. Greatly recomended for people who want to game at friends house becuase for a gaming laptop it is easy to bring around but warning it has a very consumed batter because of its components and it being made for gaming so i would keep it plugged in. Thank you for reading and have a good day.

    Might want to read this...
I brought this pc a few months ago and 3 weeks in the keyboards started not to respond so i called hp they helped me out and fixed it problem solved right? Nope days later mouse disappeared and the mouse and touch pad was completely unresponsive had to call them up again good thing the item is still under warranty because walmart would not take the laptop back because it has been past the 15 days return policy for laptops the laptop broke on me in 21 days 3 weeks. So i was basically back and fourth with the hp helpers they were very kind and helpful, but there would also be a time when the pc screen would turn black and be unresponsive and the only way to fix it is to do a hard shut down i did it so many times that the pc hard drives got corrupted, im just glad all my files were backed up anyway i had to send the pc to get it repaired i got it back a week later hp called me and helped me updated and everthing looked great untile the mouse disappeared again, yup called hp again had to upgrade the mouse component and make sure everthing was in working condtion. So they took remote access to my pc and help me update my pc the hp people are very helpful so after doing all that the pc seemed to be working great. A few hours in i got 3ds and was getting ready to back up some files move the laptop to my bed Opened it and the screen was black.. yea tried the keyboard the mouse even opening the laptop i even tried pluging and unpluging the laptop powercord to see if that was the issue but the pc was on responsive. Turns out that they just repaired the hard drive not the actual problem, so i called them again and told them the probelm and they send the box an a day as of now this pc is very time consuming it dose not work great at all. I will admit this pc dose play games well but will break on you very easily. Nonresponsive keyboard random crashing and probably worst of all loss of data. If you have to buy a laptop here be sure you get a warranty or youll be spending a lot of time like i am or try best buy a bit more pricer but probably more reliable.

An excellent PC for multiple purposes
I bought this laptop about 3 and a half months ago, and so far I have had no problems with it, I can play GTA V with an average of 59-60 FPS at the max settings, aswell as Fortnite on All epic settings with shadows off at 60-80 FPS ingame. I'm able to run things like Discord, tabs, and Spotify all at the same time with no problem. I'd just recommend going into your Nvidia control panel, and changing everything from your CPU's UHD 630 Intel graphics to the 1050 ti, so you are given better framerate. Unfortunately, you cannot overclock anything on this PC (at least the CPU). As this is a laptop, I'd recommend getting some extra cooling things for it, as mine will really hit higher temperatures while playing games on high-max settings. Overall a wonderful computer for everything ranging from Work, to Web surfing, to gaming on mid-high tier settings.

    Good price for Gamer laptop
Bought this during "Black Friday '18" for $599. Good buy. Plays my Steam games like Star Trek and The Hunter with no problems on high settings. I like the lighted keyboard. Best low end "Gamer" laptop for the price at the time. We've had bad luck with hard drives going out on HP laptops in the past and their printers not lasting. It's only been 6 weeks though.

    Almost perfect
For $599 there isn't any better deal out there for an entry level gaming laptop. However, the one major flaw of this laptop is that the CPU runs a little too hot for my liking. My unit hovers around 80-85°C while playing MapleStory 2, where the CPU is only being 20% utilized. This is in a 65°F room. Despite this flaw, I would still recommend this laptop for $599.
